Flamingo Marina Resort 103 is an oceanview studio that overlooks the sandy stretch of shoreline and calm blue waters of Potrero Bay. This apartment is also situated right next to the Flamingo Marina, a world-class marina that serves as a popular launching point for boat tours in Playa Flamingo. This apartment accommodates up to four guests in two queen-size beds with wooden headboards, plush mattresses, and comfortable linens. The beds share a nightstand with a lamp and face a large, mirrored wall with a desk and chair, a small sofa, and a flat-screen TV. Guests share one bathroom with a tiled walk-in shower and a single-sink vanity with granite countertops. The apartment also features a quaint kitchenette with wood cabinets and drawers, granite countertops, a stainless steel sink, and useful appliances, including a single-burner cooktop, a full-sized refrigerator and freezer, a microwave, and a coffee maker. Guests can enjoy meals at the granite breakfast nook, located across from the kitchen, which features three barstools. This apartment’s highlight is the covered balcony, which overlooks the sparkling waters of Potrero Bay and lush greenery surrounding Playa Flamingo. The balcony features a ceiling fan and outdoor lounge furniture and can be accessed from the kitchen through a floor-to-ceiling glass door. Guests at Flamingo Marina Resort 103 will also have access to a private community swimming pool surrounded by several lounge chairs and lush greenery. Pet-friendly policy We welcome your furry friends at our property! Before you book, each pet must be verified and approved based on breed and size (max 35 lbs.), accompanied by a recent photo. A refundable pet fee of $200 per stay, along with an additional cleaning fee of $50 + 13% per pet, is required to ensure our home remains pristine for all guests. We allow up to two pets per reservation. Pets must be kept on a leash at all times in public areas within the property grounds. Certain properties and complexes may have specific rules and registration requirements. Pets need to be verified at least 24 hours prior to check-in. If guests arrive at check-in with unverified pets, access to the property will be denied. Owners are responsible for their pets' behavior and any damages incurred. Flamingo is a high-end beachfront community notable for its dazzling ocean views and the beautiful, hilly peninsula that juts out into the Pacific, separating Playa Potrero from Playa Flamingo. Flamingo is home to a wide array of stunning homes and vacation rentals, as well as humbler lodging options, and it has restaurants, grocery stores, banks and other conveniences. A brand-new, state-of-the-art marina opened to the public in 2022, with slips for yachts and fishing boats, condos for rent and all kinds of shops and restaurants. Other major developments here include the 360 Splendor del Pacifico luxury condominiums on top of the North Ridge, the Margaritaville Beach Resort, and the upscale Mar Vista housing development, where there’s an excellent private school called La Paz. Good restaurants in town include the Coco Loco, a beachfront eatery known for its coconut drinks and standout cuisine; Marie’s, a reliable standard with a long and enticing menu; Angelina’s, featuring fine Italian dining in an elegant environment; and several options at the Margaritaville, including the 5 O’Clock Somewhere Bar & Grill. Flamingo was largely developed by foreigners, and it lacks the traditional Costa Rican downtown with a soccer field plaza, church and school. The heart of town is an upscale commercial plaza with stone steps, fountains, restaurants and shops. Farther away on the road to Brasilito, you’ll find smaller restaurants, hotels, banks, hardware stores and the Super Massai grocery store. Flamingo is more or less the centerpiece of a beautiful coastline stretching from the Reserva Conchal resort in the south to the Las Catalinas resort in the north, with the more traditional Costa Rican towns of Brasilito and Potrero in between. Flamingo is within easy striking distance of several beaches, including Conchal, Flamingo, Potrero, Penca, Prieta, Pan de Azucar and Danta. Special Places of Costa Rica is committed to protecting our properties and complying with short-term rental regulations, which is why all guests are required to complete an independent verification with our trusted partner, TRUVI, before check-in. You will be contacted via email, text, or app notification with instructions to complete this process. As part of the verification, you will need to choose between paying a refundable security deposit (which includes a non-refundable 2% processing fee) or purchasing a non-refundable damage waiver, which protects you in case of accidental damage during your stay. We strongly recommend the damage waiver, as it provides peace of mind and avoids tying up funds with a deposit. Both the TRUVI verification and your selection of either the deposit or the damage waiver must be completed prior to your arrival.
