La Casa Roja is a three-bedroom home in Surfside, a laid-back coastal neighborhood on the outskirts of Potrero, only two and a half blocks away from the beach. The βRed Houseβ is gated and features an open-concept floor plan, as well as a private outdoor space complete with a swimming pool, a covered patio, and a pool deck equipped with lounge chairs. The first floor of this two-story home features all of the homeβs main gathering spaces: the living room, dining room, and kitchen. The living room features a couch and loveseat, a wooden coffee table, a colorful rug and throw pillows, as well as coastal-inspired artwork. There is also a powder room and a closet next to the front door, near the living room. Behind the living room is a handcrafted wood dining table with four chairs. The dining room is situated next to a sliding door that opens onto the covered patio, featuring another wooden dining table with four chairs and a barbecue grill and smoker β perfect for al fresco meals in the tropical sunshine. There is an additional sliding glass door on the patio that leads into the kitchen. Beyond the covered patio lies a sparkling swimming pool and pool deck with lounge chairs, outdoor furniture, and a tiki-style umbrella. The spacious kitchen is a chefβs dream, featuring a wrap-around granite countertop and a breakfast bar with four barstools, as well as high-end wood cabinets and drawers. The kitchen includes stainless steel appliances, including a massive refrigerator and freezer, an oven and cooktop with a range hood, a microwave, and a dishwasher. The kitchen also features an elegant tan-and-brown tiled backsplash. This home features three bedrooms, all located upstairs, providing comfortable accommodations for a total of six guests. The master bedroom features a king-sized bed, set against a bright red accent wall, along with a flat-screen TV, ceiling fan, and ample closet space. This bedroom also features a private balcony and an ensuite bathroom with a walk-in shower with a rainfall showerhead. The second bedroom features a queen-sized bed, a ceiling fan, and a large picture window that offers a stunning view of the pool. The third bedroom features two twin-sized beds (that can be pushed together to form a king-sized bed), a flat-screen TV, and a private balcony. These two bedrooms share a bathroom with a single-sink vanity and a walk-in shower with a rainfall showerhead. La Casa Roja is walled and gated for your safety, and the entire home is equipped with air conditioning and internet for your comfort and convenience. The front door and garage can be accessed with remote controls. The garage features a washer and dryer, as well as beach chairs, umbrellas, and boogie boards that can be used at the beach during your stay in Guanacaste. No Pets Policy: Please note that this property is not pet-friendly due to house and condominium rules. No exceptions will be made, and emotional support animals are not permitted. If guests arrive at check-in with pets that have not been verified and approved, access to the property will be denied. Surfside is a charming community on Playa Potrero where many expats live permanently (in particular Canadians and Italians), and where visitors can choose from a wide range of elegant vacation rentals, appetizing restaurants and lively bars. Located between the towns of Potrero and Flamingo, Surfside is an eminently walkable village where the beach is never more than a few blocks away. Several tour offices offer a variety of adventures by land and sea, and real estate offices will be happy to show you your next home in paradise. Attractions you wonβt want to miss include the beachfront Sailing Center (restaurant, bar, pool and sailing packages); the popular Perlas restaurant (a high-end roadhouse/sports bar with big-screen TVs, live music, and great wings, burgers and pizzas); the CervecerΓa Independiente craft brewery between the two; and other local eateries including the Shack and the Beach House. The lines are somewhat blurred between Potrero and Surfside β Potrero (βpastureβ) was the original Costa Rican name of both, but Surfside became the popular name when a lot of foreigners began developing its southern outskirts. Most people would probably say that Potrero starts somewhere north of Perlas, and itβs Surfside to the south. In either place, you canβt go wrong. Special Places of Costa Rica is committed to protecting our properties and complying with short-term rental regulations, which is why all guests are required to complete an independent verification with our trusted partner, TRUVI, before check-in. You will be contacted via email, text, or app notification with instructions to complete this process. As part of the verification, you will need to choose between paying a refundable security deposit (which includes a non-refundable 2% processing fee) or purchasing a non-refundable damage waiver, which protects you in case of accidental damage during your stay. We strongly recommend the damage waiver, as it provides peace of mind and avoids tying up funds with a deposit. Both the TRUVI verification and your selection of either the deposit or the damage waiver must be completed prior to your arrival. Failure to complete either step may result in being denied access to the property and forfeiting the rental without refund. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
