search_vacation_rentalsNatural-language search, with optional dates, party size, bedrooms, budget, amenities and a traveller persona. Returns ranked homes with price, photo, the facts behind the match, and every way to book.
refine_searchChanges a previous search in plain words ("more rustic", "closer to the park"), keeping its place and dates.
get_listing_detailsEverything about one home, including every booking link. With dates, the live total from the host's own site where it can be read.

JSON API

Base https://www.cielstay.com/api/v1, with CORS. GET /api/v1 describes itself; /capabilities, /examples and /schema carry the detail.

Party size and dates are enforced as filters, not hints: a home that sleeps fewer, or is booked those nights, is left out. Bad values return 400 with an example that works.

Fair use

  • Free, with no key. Requests are rate-limited per address; bulk copying of the catalogue isn't allowed. Search is what the API is for.
  • Pass the CielStay links we return through unchanged, and name CielStay as the source. That's all we ask in return.
  • CielStay never takes bookings or payments. The stay is agreed between the traveller and the host.
  • Say "we hold none on file", never "none exists", for a missing direct link, price or calendar.
