Experience exquisite seaside luxury at Villa Bougainvillea, a stunning four-bedroom villa perched at the top of a hillside cliff in the North Ridge of Playa Flamingo. This Spanish-inspired villa features an open-concept living space with lofty ceilings, a sparkling oceanview infinity pool, and a charming stone courtyard filled with tropical landscaping and colorful blooms. Villa Bougainvillea can sleep eight guests in four beautifully furnished bedrooms, each with a king bed, elegant furniture, high ceilings and stone floors, and a private bathroom. The master bathroom has a sleek marble walk-in shower with a dual-sink vanity, while the other bathrooms have walk-in showers made of natural rock. Each of the bedrooms in Villa Bougainvillea offers something unique. The master bedroom has a massive walk-in closet and a flat-screen TV. The second bedroom has a charming patio oasis with two lounge chairs and a BBQ grill. The third has a wet bar with a drink refrigerator, and the fourth has a small balcony overlooking the ocean. The open-concept living space is stunning, with sky-high ceilings and stacking doors leading to the shaded patio. The patio is furnished with an outdoor furniture set that overlooks the sparkling oceanview infinity pool (one of the largest private pools in Playa Flamingo!). The indoor living room features a nautical design and is decorated with high-end wood furniture and a flat-screen smart TV. The living room opens to a spacious chef’s kitchen with a large center island and high-end stainless steel appliances, like a range-top stove and oven, a dishwasher, a refrigerator, and an oversized sink. The kitchen island can seat four guests, and the dining table can seat eight. The entire kitchen is beautifully decorated with granite countertops and textured backsplashes. Like the living room, it features a set of stacking doors that open to the poolside patio with ocean views. Pet-friendly policy We welcome your furry friends at our property! Before you book, each pet must be verified and approved based on breed and size (max 35 lbs.), accompanied by a recent photo. A refundable pet fee of $200 per stay, along with an additional cleaning fee of $50 + 13% per pet, is required to ensure our home remains pristine for all guests. We allow up to two pets per reservation. Pets must be kept on a leash at all times in public areas within the property grounds. Certain properties and complexes may have specific rules and registration requirements. Pets need to be verified at least 24 hours prior to check-in. If guests arrive at check-in with unverified pets, access to the property will be denied. Owners are responsible for their pets' behavior and any damages incurred. Flamingo is a high-end beachfront community notable for its dazzling ocean views and the beautiful, hilly peninsula that juts out into the Pacific, separating Playa Potrero from Playa Flamingo. Flamingo is home to a wide array of stunning homes and vacation rentals, as well as humbler lodging options, and it has restaurants, grocery stores, banks and other conveniences. A brand-new, state-of-the-art marina opened to the public in 2022, with slips for yachts and fishing boats, condos for rent and all kinds of shops and restaurants. Other major developments here include the 360 Splendor del Pacifico luxury condominiums on top of the North Ridge, the Margaritaville Beach Resort, and the upscale Mar Vista housing development, where there’s an excellent private school called La Paz. Good restaurants in town include the Coco Loco, a beachfront eatery known for its coconut drinks and standout cuisine; Marie’s, a reliable standard with a long and enticing menu; Angelina’s, featuring fine Italian dining in an elegant environment; and several options at the Margaritaville, including the 5 O’Clock Somewhere Bar & Grill. Flamingo was largely developed by foreigners, and it lacks the traditional Costa Rican downtown with a soccer field plaza, church and school. The heart of town is an upscale commercial plaza with stone steps, fountains, restaurants and shops. Farther away on the road to Brasilito, you’ll find smaller restaurants, hotels, banks, hardware stores and the Super Massai grocery store. Flamingo is more or less the centerpiece of a beautiful coastline stretching from the Reserva Conchal resort in the south to the Las Catalinas resort in the north, with the more traditional Costa Rican towns of Brasilito and Potrero in between. Flamingo is within easy striking distance of several beaches, including Conchal, Flamingo, Potrero, Penca, Prieta, Pan de Azucar and Danta. Special Places of Costa Rica is committed to protecting our properties and complying with short-term rental regulations, which is why all guests are required to complete an independent verification with our trusted partner, TRUVI, before check-in. You will be contacted via email, text, or app notification with instructions to complete this process. As part of the verification, you will need to choose between paying a refundable security deposit (which includes a non-refundable 2% processing fee) or purchasing a non-refundable damage waiver, which protects you in case of accidental damage during your stay. We strongly recommend the damage waiver, as it provides peace of mind and avoids tying up funds with a deposit. Both the TRUVI verification and your selection of either the deposit or the damage waiver must be completed prior to your arrival.
