As we have dug into the history and heard the stories of this place, we are all the more honored to have been able to bring her back to life. Memories are infused in the walls and we did our best to honor the original character of the home during the restoration. The Welcome Inn was originally built by the King family in the 1870’s on a 160-acre working farm. Over the past one hundred and fifty years, we know of only four previous owners. We have met two of the families who lived and loved and made their mark in this place. The restoration itself took just under a year and was a massive undertaking. We faced extensive rot in the floors and walls, termite damage, hundreds of thousands of bees living within the exterior columns, and had to bring the house up to code with electrical and plumbing and a functioning kitchen. We have fallen hard for this beautiful home and cannot wait to open the doors to share it with all of you. It wasn’t an easy restoration but it was most assuredly worth it. The Welcome Inn is intended for overnight accommodations only. If you’re planning to use the property for anything beyond a standard vacation stay (such as a gathering, wedding, baby shower, or corporate event) please reach out in advance for prior approval. We do offer separate pricing for corporate and event use and are happy to discuss options to best suit your needs. Your payment will be handled safely during your course of business with us. Payments are powered by Stripe, are Safe and Secure SSL Encrypted. We accept MasterCard, Visa, Discover and American Express. We only accept payments in U.S. currency. Rental Fee: 100% of the reservation will be charged to your payment method at booking confirmation. Security Deposit: For direct bookings only, an authorization hold (security deposit) of $250 will be placed on your payment method upon check-in. You won’t be charged, but the hold means that you won’t be able to access these funds until the hold is released. As long as no property damage occurs during your stay, we’ll initiate a release of the hold placed on your card 7 days after your checkout. Cancelation Policy: Bookings canceled at least 30 days before check in will receive a 100% refund minus a nonrefundable 3% charge to cover credit/debit card processing fees. Bookings canceled at least 14 days before check in will receive a 50% refund minus a nonrefundable 3% charge to cover credit/debit card processing fees. No refunds will be processed within 14 days of check in. Pre-Check In Requirements: As a professional vacation rental company, we do require our guests to upload an acceptable government-issued photo ID for additional identity verification and sign our terms & conditions agreement on our guest portal, which is where you will be able to view your check in instructions upon completion of pre-check-in requirements. If you are booking a reservation for someone other than yourself, we do need the contact information of the guest(s) who will be staying at the property.
