Stay in seaside luxury at Hacienda del Arbol — one of three exclusive homes on the beautiful white sands of Flamingo Beach on Costa Rica’s Pacific Coast. This elegant mansion features five bedrooms with private bathrooms and a sparkling infinity pool overlooking Flamingo Beach. Hacienda del Arbol is professionally designed in a beautiful, modern style. It features high ceilings, a central spiral staircase, high-end stone countertops, and ornate wood detailing. The home offers dozens of windows and sliding glass doors, providing guests with picture-perfect views of Playa Flamingo and flooding the house with warm, inviting natural light during the (many!) sunny days in Guanacaste. Each bedroom offers a comfortable king or queen-sized bed, a spacious private bathroom, a flat-screen TV, and beautiful oceanfront or garden views. Four bedrooms have walk-in closets, some have soaking tubs and walk-in showers, and three offer private patios or balconies with ceiling fans and outdoor furniture. The living room is decorated with chic, bohemian-style furniture, a large flat-screen TV, and a sliding glass door with patio access. It connects to the kitchen, which features a spacious island, elegant stone countertops, beautiful dark wood cabinets, and state-of-the-art stainless steel appliances, including an oven, a cooktop with a range hood, a dishwasher, a refrigerator, and a microwave. There is also a separate dining room that can seat eight. The home’s highlight is a sparkling infinity pool and hot tub that overlooks the ocean, surrounded by tables, chairs, and beach loungers. The kitchen is also connected to a beautiful covered terrace with a dining table that seats eight, a sitting area for three with a coffee table, a wet bar, a drink refrigerator, and a BBQ grill. The property also has a private driveway, full-time maid service, and 24/7 security. Pet-friendly policy We welcome your furry friends at our property! Before you book, each pet must be verified and approved based on breed and size (max 35 lbs.), accompanied by a recent photo. A refundable pet fee of $200 per stay, along with an additional cleaning fee of $50 + 13% per pet, is required to ensure our home remains pristine for all guests. We allow up to two pets per reservation. Pets must be kept on a leash at all times in public areas within the property grounds. Certain properties and complexes may have specific rules and registration requirements. Pets need to be verified at least 24 hours prior to check-in. If guests arrive at check-in with unverified pets, access to the property will be denied. Owners are responsible for their pets' behavior and any damages incurred. Flamingo is a high-end beachfront community notable for its dazzling ocean views and the beautiful, hilly peninsula that juts out into the Pacific, separating Playa Potrero from Playa Flamingo. Flamingo is home to a wide array of stunning homes and vacation rentals, as well as humbler lodging options, and it has restaurants, grocery stores, banks and other conveniences. A brand-new, state-of-the-art marina opened to the public in 2022, with slips for yachts and fishing boats, condos for rent and all kinds of shops and restaurants. Other major developments here include the 360 Splendor del Pacifico luxury condominiums on top of the North Ridge, the Margaritaville Beach Resort, and the upscale Mar Vista housing development, where there’s an excellent private school called La Paz. Good restaurants in town include the Coco Loco, a beachfront eatery known for its coconut drinks and standout cuisine; Marie’s, a reliable standard with a long and enticing menu; Angelina’s, featuring fine Italian dining in an elegant environment; and several options at the Margaritaville, including the 5 O’Clock Somewhere Bar & Grill. Flamingo was largely developed by foreigners, and it lacks the traditional Costa Rican downtown with a soccer field plaza, church and school. The heart of town is an upscale commercial plaza with stone steps, fountains, restaurants and shops. Farther away on the road to Brasilito, you’ll find smaller restaurants, hotels, banks, hardware stores and the Super Massai grocery store. Flamingo is more or less the centerpiece of a beautiful coastline stretching from the Reserva Conchal resort in the south to the Las Catalinas resort in the north, with the more traditional Costa Rican towns of Brasilito and Potrero in between. Flamingo is within easy striking distance of several beaches, including Conchal, Flamingo, Potrero, Penca, Prieta, Pan de Azucar and Danta. Special Places of Costa Rica is committed to protecting our properties and complying with short-term rental regulations, which is why all guests are required to complete an independent verification with our trusted partner, TRUVI, before check-in. You will be contacted via email, text, or app notification with instructions to complete this process. As part of the verification, you will need to choose between paying a refundable security deposit (which includes a non-refundable 2% processing fee) or purchasing a non-refundable damage waiver, which protects you in case of accidental damage during your stay. We strongly recommend the damage waiver, as it provides peace of mind and avoids tying up funds with a deposit. Both the TRUVI verification and your selection of either the deposit or the damage waiver must be completed prior to your arrival.
