Towards the centre of the village Stock Ghyll Force can be found, a spectacular 70-foot waterfall or perhaps more familiarly there is the National Trust owned 17th Century Bridge House over Stock Ghyll beck is one of the most recognisable and photographed scenes in Lakeland! While Ambleside remains distinctly popular with walkers, climbers and those looking to get out and about on the lake, there is no shortage of shops, cafes restaurants and a local cinema.
