📍St Ives, England

About the Home

This bright and airy home in St Ives has a calming beach house feel, just minutes from Porthmeor Beach. Each double bedroom has a TV, with one enjoying an ensuite, plus a separate family bathroom with a bath. Upstairs, relax in the spacious living area with smart TV and full-width window offering sea views. Downstairs, find a well-equipped kitchen, dining area and utility room. Outside is a classic Cornish garden with a patio and bench for soaking up more sea views! Private parking for 3 cars. Penmenor is an upside down house, with the living space and one bedroom on the first floor. On the ground floor, you'll find the kitchen diner, two bedrooms with one ensuite and a family bathroom. So, whilst you wouldn't be able to access the living area, it isn't essential to climb stairs when staying here. This coastal home, just a few minutes’ walk down the hill to Porthmeor Beach, offers the perfect escape in one of Cornwall’s most iconic seaside towns. Porthmeor Beach is ideal for swimming, surfing, and soaking up the sun, with golden sands, clear waters, and a laid-back beach café offering delicious food and coffee with sea views. Art lovers will be in heaven with the Tate St Ives and the Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden just a short stroll away, showcasing world-class modern art inspired by Cornwall’s dramatic landscapes. Wander the town’s narrow cobbled streets filled with independent shops, galleries, and restaurants, or enjoy traditional Cornish pasties and ice cream by the harbour. Take a walk along the South West Coast Path for breathtaking views and explore hidden coves, or head to Carbis Bay and Porthminster Beach for more coastal beauty. You can catch the train there from St Ives which is a beautiful ride right around the cliffs edge. Boat trips run from the harbour to spot seals, or even dolphins in the bay. In the evening, enjoy fresh seafood at one of St Ives’ many acclaimed restaurants or watch the sunset from the beach. With its artistic spirit, stunning natural beauty, and vibrant atmosphere, St Ives offers something magical for everyone. There is a glass kitchen door and a glass coffee table at the property. Please keep this in mind, especially if you are staying with children who shouldn't be allowed to play nearby. We make every effort to schedule gardener visits outside of guest stays. However, this can be difficult to guarantee during busier times. We will let you know if the gardener needs to attend during your stay. We welcome one dog at the property. It is on the condition they are not allowed on the soft furnishings or in the bedrooms and not left in the property unattended. No stag or hen dos or party groups. This is a much-loved home primarily set up for families.
