Casa Luz de Luna is a beautifully designed three-bedroom private home located in the desirable Surfside neighborhood near Playa Potrero. Tucked along a quiet, tree-lined street, this two-story residence has a rare combination of privacy, comfort, and walkability. The home is just a short stroll from Surfside’s popular Paseo district and an easy walk to the beach, making it the perfect base for enjoying Costa Rica’s Gold Coast. Inside, the home features a welcoming open-concept living space with modern furnishings, a large comfortable sofa, curated artwork throughout, and air conditioning for year-round comfort. The living room includes a flat-screen TV and flows seamlessly into the dining area, where a round wooden table seats six guests. The modern kitchen is well equipped with abundant cabinetry, stainless steel appliances, a stove, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, blender, and toaster - perfect for preparing meals at home. Casa Luz de Luna comfortably sleeps six guests across three private bedrooms, each with its own ensuite bathroom. The primary bedroom features a king-sized bed and a TV, while the second and third bedrooms have queen-sized beds and tranquil views of the surrounding greenery. An additional half bathroom on the main level adds extra convenience for guests. Outdoor living is a standout feature of this home. A large covered outdoor living and dining area creates the perfect gathering space, complete with ceiling fans, an outdoor dining table, built-in cabinets, a sink, refrigerator, and a BBQ grill. Just beyond, the private swimming pool is surrounded by five lounge chairs, offering plenty of space to relax in the sun or unwind in the shade. The pool features easy-entry steps on the shallow end and a deeper section for swimming. The property is fully enclosed with a secure perimeter wall and iron fencing, providing privacy and peace of mind. A covered carport accommodates one vehicle, with additional space available inside the gate. The home also includes a washer and dryer and reliable Wi-Fi throughout. No Pets Policy: Please note that this property is not pet-friendly due to house and condominium rules. No exceptions will be made, and emotional support animals are not permitted. If guests arrive at check-in with pets that have not been verified and approved, access to the property will be denied. Surfside is a charming community on Playa Potrero where many expats live permanently (in particular Canadians and Italians), and where visitors can choose from a wide range of elegant vacation rentals, appetizing restaurants and lively bars. Located between the towns of Potrero and Flamingo, Surfside is an eminently walkable village where the beach is never more than a few blocks away. Several tour offices offer a variety of adventures by land and sea, and real estate offices will be happy to show you your next home in paradise. Attractions you won’t want to miss include the beachfront Sailing Center (restaurant, bar, pool and sailing packages); the popular Perlas restaurant (a high-end roadhouse/sports bar with big-screen TVs, live music, and great wings, burgers and pizzas); the Cervecería Independiente craft brewery between the two; and other local eateries including the Shack and the Beach House. The lines are somewhat blurred between Potrero and Surfside — Potrero (“pasture”) was the original Costa Rican name of both, but Surfside became the popular name when a lot of foreigners began developing its southern outskirts. Most people would probably say that Potrero starts somewhere north of Perlas, and it’s Surfside to the south. In either place, you can’t go wrong. Special Places of Costa Rica is committed to protecting our properties and complying with short-term rental regulations, which is why all guests are required to complete an independent verification with our trusted partner, TRUVI, before check-in. You will be contacted via email, text, or app notification with instructions to complete this process. As part of the verification, you will need to choose between paying a refundable security deposit (which includes a non-refundable 2% processing fee) or purchasing a non-refundable damage waiver, which protects you in case of accidental damage during your stay. We strongly recommend the damage waiver, as it provides peace of mind and avoids tying up funds with a deposit. Both the TRUVI verification and your selection of either the deposit or the damage waiver must be completed prior to your arrival.
