The front and back entrances to the cabin are equipped with ramps. This cabin has been designed just like our other Haven cabins, but with some minor differences to ensure it can be enjoyed by all! Whether you book it for access needs or not, there is no better place to unwind. The cabin is located in the recently renovated campground next to the Desert of Maine, an iconic tourist attraction established in 1926. The campground is small, quiet, and serene, surrounded by tall northern pines at the edge of the Desertโs rolling sand dunes which were deposited there at the end of the last ice age. The tourist attraction (open May - Oct) includes fascinating exhibits about the history, ecology, geology of the Desert, activities for kids, a train ride, mini golf, and much more. Campground guests enjoy free access to the dunes after hours, and discounted tickets for mini golf and general admission for daytime visits. The entire experience is designed around helping you unwind from your busy life, slip in to a sense of stillness and wonder, and wake up (again) to the magic of being a human. Come to the place Where Wanderers Unwind.
