Sitting on the scenic banks of the Patawalonga River, and mins walk from the beach, public transport, the airport, tourist activities, and the Glenelg nightlife. Our apartment building is an old girl, built in the 70s by our grandfather who was a well known local builder in the Glenelg area. Whilst she isn't particularly pretty to look at from the outside these days (unless you're really into the 70s brown brick look!), don't be mislead, as she definitely makes up for her older exterior in the fantastic location, apartment interiors and the amazing river views! Recline or dine in comfort in the open plan kitchen/dining/lounge, tiled throughout with lovely furnishings. The best place to unwind in this cosy 2 bedroom apartment, is on the private balcony with river views of the boats and Marina Pier. Or sleep until your hearts content in a comfortable quality custom made king-width Queen bed and 2 singles. Be prepared to get in some extra steps on that step tracker everyday, with the amazing walkways along the river and beachside, and walk to Glenelg main street from here can be done in just 10 mins. The apartment is also located on the second (top) floor, and is accessed by stairs only, so even if you don't get time to get a walk in, you will still get in some steps (literally) everyday! And whilst this is an apartment building in every sense, our apartment is uniquely one of a small group of nine and is located on the top floor, which is only shared with two other apartments. Our apartment also does not share walls with either of them as they sit across the hall. So you can still be reasonably private for this reason, and should rarely be disturbed by those around you. Summary: 2 bedrooms, 1 King-width Queen and 2 Single beds, sleeping up to 4 persons. All linen and towels supplied. Ducted heating/cooling throughout, Smart TV, Free wifi (download/upload limitations apply),Fully equipped kitchen - note: Fridge/Freezer is 3/4 size. Common area laundry with coin operated washing machines on site if required (and clothes airer in apartment). Locality: 2 mins walk to Glenelg North beach 2 mins drive or 10 mins walk to the main Glenelg precinct and beaches Glenelg is filled with all kinds of delicious eateries, sweeteries, shopperies and bar-hopperies, and they are all just a 5 minute drive or 15 minute walk from the apartment. Established in 1836, Glenelg is the oldest European settlement on Mainland South Australia, and did you notice something interesting about the name GLENELG? That’s right, it’s a Palindrome, which means it’s the same back-to-front as it is front-to-back. There are over 300 local businesses to choose from along the kilometre long main street that is Jetty Road, and when you’ve shopped til you’ve dropped you can reward yourself with a fabulous coffee, a glass of wine or a meal in one of our many interesting cafΓ©s or restaurants, ranging from quirky and casual to formal dining. Please be aware that if occasional traffic noise is an issue for you, the street we are located on can get busy at times, especially when events are on in Glenelg. It isn't a main road or highway, but it is a popular suburban street/access road to the glenelg north beach area. Apartment is accessed by stairs ony, NO lift, sorry. As we mentioned, the building is an older girl. We have NBN WIFI, but being in an old building does affect it sometimes, and so it can be a little slower at times especially if guests are trying to download or upload heavily. All the more reason to get off that device and explore the amazing location or simply sit down read a magazine and breathe in the fresh salty air. Please ensure you list the correct amount of persons in your booking requests because this also ensures you get enough linen included for each guest. For extended stays over 21+ nights, mid-stay servicing is required for the upkeep of the property.
