Lo Scalino is located in the most ancient heart of Verona, near the prehistoric ford on the Adige, at the foot of the hill where the first inhabitants originally settled. Already the Romans had built in the area, remains Ponte Pietra on the site of the ancient ford and the Roman Theater at the foot of the hill on the other side of the river. A few meters from the apartment starts the road that follows the ancient Roman decumano, which started from the nearby Ponte Pietra, which was the gateway from the north to the city. In the following centuries the area was the residence of the Lords of Verona (the nearby Arche Scaligere testify it till now) and then became the central and residential area par excellence, enclosed in the bend of the river Adige. I do my best to make your stay in Verona enjoyable and, I hope, unforgettable.
