The Green Acorn is located just a few minutes from Pigeon Forge, with easy access to Gatlinburg and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The route to the cabin is straightforward, with all main roads paved, well maintained, and not steep. As you turn onto Rising Fawn Way, you’ll travel about 200 feet on a gravel section that can be a bit bumpy, followed by a short incline up the mountain to reach the cabin’s elevation. Most vehicles handle it without any issues, but we recommend arriving during daylight or dusk on your first visit for better visibility. Snow and ice are rare but possible, and typically don’t last long or stick. In those conditions, 4-wheel drive is recommended. Once you arrive, you’ll enjoy quiet surroundings, great views, and a comfortable mountain stay — close to everything, but just far enough for a bit of privacy.
