Ardross Lodge | Lakeside Hot Tub Stay for Groups
About the Home
Ardross is for groups of friends and families - anyone who wants time away that still feels calm. Comfortable beds, open space, and the lake right there when you’re finally ready to grab the kayaks and get straight onto the water. Breathtaking. It’s a spacious lakeside home made for easy get-togethers, with four bedrooms, three bathrooms and open-plan living overlooking the water. It’s somewhere eight people can actually relax without feeling on top of each other. Ardross sleeps eight across four bedrooms. Upstairs, you’ll find the master suite with a superking bed, its own lounge and an en-suite, plus two bedrooms that can be set as superking beds or twin beds and share a family bathroom. The ground-floor bedroom has a king-size bed and an accessible en-suite wet room. The open-plan living area leads to a fully equipped kitchen, a dining table for eight and a smart TV with fast Wi-Fi. Heating and air conditioning keep the space comfortable year-round. Set within the beautiful Cotswold Lakes region, the property is surrounded by over 180 freshwater lakes, woodland trails and open countryside. This unique lakeside setting combines natural beauty with an outdoors-focused lifestyle; perfect for walking, cycling, paddleboarding, or simply relaxing by the water’s edge. Wildlife is plentiful, the air is peaceful, and every day feels like a retreat. Just a few minutes away sits the charming village of South Cerney, one of the most established communities in the area. The village offers traditional stone cottages, local shops, good pubs and friendly cafés, all set along leafy lanes and open green spaces. From here, scenic lakeside walks begin right on the doorstep. Cirencester, often described as the Capital of the Cotswolds, is just a 10–15-minute drive away, offering boutique shopping, restaurants, markets, and cultural heritage. And with Kemble Station close by, direct trains to London make this an ideal base for weekend stays or longer escapes. Life here feels calm, outdoorsy and connected to the landscape - somewhere where mornings start with coffee overlooking the water and end with sunset walks across the lakes. It’s a rare location that balances privacy with convenience, nature with activities, and peaceful surroundings with excellent access. We’re dog-friendly and welcome up to two dogs (a third may be possible on request). A high chair and travel cot are available at no extra cost, and we can help with light decoration touches for birthdays, proposals or other occasions. Open-water swimming is permitted directly from the deck and is one of the highlights of staying here. Swimming is at guests’ own risk and requires a waiver before arrival. Paddleboard hire is available, and with easy lake access, it’s perfect for slow mornings on the water or sunset paddles. The lodge sits within the private, gated Waters Edge estate, a peaceful place designed for relaxed breaks rather than large or noisy gatherings. If you’re travelling with a bigger group, we manage more than 18 homes on Waters Edge and nearly 50 across the wider Cotswolds, so we can recommend neighbouring houses or help coordinate multiple bookings.
