Beautiful Period Cottage nr Frome, Garden, Parking
About the Home
The Bower is a stylishly decorated, spacious, semi-detached cottage with three exceptionally comfortable double rooms (one superking, one kingsize & one double). The cottage has an outside table & chairs on a small private patio area, leading out from the french doors, which gives a great view of the wildflower meadow and makes a nice spot for a cup of coffee. Whatley is a lovely village close to Frome with attractive walks by the river to the pub in Nunney. The property features a fully equipped light & spacious yoga studio complete with Iyengar ropes, blocks and bricks. It also has a NOHrD bike and a boxing bag. There is Sonos in the kitchen and yoga studio, a smart TV with Netflix, Amazon Prime and Disney+ and Sky Q with movies and sports. There is also a smart TV in the yoga studio and an Apple TV with Apple Fitness. There is room for a single mattress or a cot in each of the bedrooms upstairs. The downstairs bedroom has space for a travel cot. Whatley is 3 miles from Frome and sits next to two other peaceful and attractive villages, Nunney and Mells. Closest is Nunney which has an impressive medieval castle (with moat and resident ducks) which makes a great walk from the house. You can add a pub lunch at the George Inn, or a coffee and ice cream at the Moat and Turret cafe. In the other direction is Mells, a pretty village with a traditional cosy pub and delicious food called The Talbot Inn, definitely worth a visit. Once a month the whole of Frome turns into a wonderfully vibrant street market, attracting artisan food and craft makers from far and wide. The Bower is 10 minutes from Babington House and 15 minutes from Bruton where you can visit the beautiful gardens of the Newt and the world renowned art gallery Hauser & Wirth. The city of Bath is 35 minutes away.
