It's a great place to stay if you want to be close to all the action without paying high hotel prices. It's just an $8 Uber ride to Frenchmen Street, where you can eat, sing, and dance all night! And there's more! On Sundays, you’ll see a huge block party at Kermit Ruffin’s famous Mother In Law Lounge, which is located just four blocks away. If the Saints win, it’ll be an even bigger celebration! We also have a funeral home around the corner, so you may even witness a Jazz Funeral procession pass near the house. This is a unique cultural experience that many tourists don't get to see. During the season, on Second Line Sundays, things heat up. These second lines are hosted by the many Social Aid And Pleasure Clubs of New Orleans to bring the community together. Do a search for Second Line & New Orleans to learn more. During Mardi Gras, you will see Mardi Gras Indians parading the streets on Claiborne Avenue. On Mardi Gras day, you better get up extra early to catch the Skulls and Bones Krewe as they make their way around the neighborhoods.
