The Powder Ridge cabins are all unbeatable for ski vacations, but this home stands apart from the rest as it is the newest phase of the development. Highly updated, the cozy, cabin-in-the-woods exterior gives way to high-end amenities, elegant furnishings, and modern conveniences throughout. Designer finishes and décor immediately distinguish this opulent abode from the run-of-the-mill rental. This home is perfectly secluded at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac with wildlife viewing opportunities and breath-taking sunset and sunrise views of the nearby peaks, yet only a few minutes from the Mountain Village (the main base for skiing at Big Sky Resort). The Mountain Village has several restaurants, shops, and a small grocery store a three minute drive from the cabin.  It is an ideal fit for families or a small group getaway as the 2,500 sq. foot 4-bedroom layout offers plenty of well-appointed space to gather, or spread out, in style. The main level of the house includes a one car garage, mudroom with plenty of space for you ski gear, spacious living room (with an stunning wood burning fireplace to cozy up around), dining area, and fully outfitted kitchen. It also includes two bedrooms and a shared full bathroom; the bedroom layouts are two twin beds in one room and a full under twin bunkroom. Upstairs there are two comfortable king rooms, both with en-suite full bathrooms. Make sure to make sure of the breakfast bar to plan out your winter activities while sipping on a cup of coffee. Cap off the day`s escapades with a stress-melting soak in the heavenly hot tub outside or grill out on the private wooded deck. Looking for other things besides skiing and snowboarding while in Big Sky, check out dog mushing, Nordic skiing, snow shoeing, a sleigh ride dinner at a local ranch, go on an snow mobile tour, or check out Yellowstone National Park – a must-see in the winter! 14 Oglala is the perfect retreat for all things Big Sky, Montana. Ski Access: This Big Sky cabin is located near the White Otter access in Powder Ridge. Anticipated opening date for White Otter lift is mid December, but the lift may open earlier in the season depending on snow conditions. The lift typically closes in mid April, prior to resort closing. The cabin is not ski-in/out unless White Otter Lift is running. Please inquire for details. Ski Out: Put skis on by the garage. Ski across the cul du sac between cabin 16 and 18 Oglala Road (less than 20 yards away). Follow this trail along the White Otter chair lift to load. There are a few flat sections that will require poling or skating. Exit White Otter Lift and turn left. Cross to the right of White Wing Run and follow the sign on skier’s right for Big Sky Base Area. This is a hard right and requires keeping up your speed. (Green access) Ski In: Follow Lower Morningstar to the second set of Powder Ridge signs as indicated on the Big Sky Resort Ski Map. Exit here to skier’s left. Follow the signs towards the White Otter Access. Cross over the White Otter skier access bridge. At the end of the bridge turn hard left and pop out on the road (Manitou Loop). Follow the road to Oglala Road and turn right. Immediately turn left on Oglala Road. Your cabin is the 2nd on the left. (Green access) or (if road is melted) Follow Lower Morningstar to the first set of Powder Ridge signs as indicated on the map. Exit here to skier’s left. Follow below Challenger lift. At the first set of signs (Bozeman Trail/Cascade Lift/Rosebud Bridge/White Otter Bridge) you will stay left towards Rosebud Access/Bridge. The next set of signs (Cascade Lift/Little Thunder) stay left. The third set of signs (Rising Bull Access/Rosebud Bridge/Chief Gull Access) veer right. At the fourth set of signs (Rosebud Bridge/Chief Gull Access/Buffalo Hide Access) go right toward Rosebud Access/Bridge. Cross the bridge and take your next right (unmarked) to exit the trail next to your Big Sky cabin.
