Perfectly positioned in the heart of the charming coastal village of Portscatho, this welcoming three-bedroom holiday home offers an ideal base for exploring the Roseland Peninsula. With the beach, village shops, cafés and local amenities all within easy walking distance, you can enjoy the relaxed pace of seaside living without needing to venture far. Inside, the home has been thoughtfully designed with calming coastal décor and artwork that reflects its beautiful surroundings. The bright open-plan kitchen and dining area is well equipped with all the modern conveniences you could need, including a dishwasher, coffee machine and a separate utility room with a washing machine. It’s a practical and sociable space for preparing meals and gathering together after a day by the sea. Next door, the cosy living room invites you to unwind, featuring a wood burner for cooler evenings and a smart TV for relaxed movie nights. You'll also find a wide selection of board games and books. Double doors open out onto the rear garden, where you’ll find a patio and outdoor seating - perfect for enjoying meals or drinks in the fresh Cornish air. At the front of the house, a second garden with a bench provides another sunny spot to sit and relax at different times of the day. Upstairs are three comfortable bedrooms: a double room, a twin room and a bunk room, making the home well-suited to families or small groups. From this level, you can even enjoy glimpses of the sea, with a striking palm tree outside completing the classic Cornish coastal view. The bedrooms share two bathrooms, one upstairs with a bath and overhead shower, and a second shower room on the ground floor. Private driveway parking is available for one car, with additional unrestricted on-street parking nearby. A stay in Portscatho offers the perfect mix of coastal beauty, village charm and classic Cornish experiences. This picturesque fishing village sits on the Roseland Peninsula, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty known for its peaceful beaches, scenic walks and unspoilt countryside. From the house, you can easily explore the South West Coast Path, which runs through the village and offers stunning cliff-top walks with views across Gerrans Bay. Along the way, you’ll find beautiful beaches, including Pendower and Carne, two expansive sandy bays perfect for swimming, paddleboarding, beachcombing, or simply relaxing with a picnic. Or at the Nare hotel if you fancy something a bit more upmarket! In the heart of Portscatho, you’ll find welcoming places to eat and drink. The Plume of Feathers and The Standard are both highly regarded traditional village pubs serving great food and local ales. The Hidden Hut is a fantastic spot right on the beach for snacks, takeaway and lunch with sea views. They also hold famous feast nights in the warmer months. A short drive away lies the elegant harbour village of St Mawes, where you can wander the waterfront, visit St Mawes Castle, or take the scenic passenger ferry to Falmouth. You'll find a plethora of wonderful restaurants, boutique shops, pubs and more. The ferry journey offers wonderful views across the Fal Estuary and is a lovely way to reach Falmouth’s shops, restaurants and the National Maritime Museum. Nearby Caerhays Castle and Beach make a wonderful day out, with dramatic coastal scenery and beautiful gardens that are particularly stunning in spring when the camellias and magnolias bloom. A visit to the neighbouring village of Veryan is also worthwhile to see its famous roundhouses, distinctive thatched cottages said to have been designed to prevent the devil from hiding in corners. With stunning beaches, charming villages, coastal walks and excellent food nearby, Portscatho is an ideal base for exploring the Roseland Peninsula and enjoying the best of Cornwall’s coast. The BBQ is available for use from April to October. You are welcome to use the woodburner in the living room, though logs are not provided. The house has full central heating, so it's only for aesthetic purposes and not required for heat. If you are booking for contractors or workers, please enquire first before booking.
