Casa Morpho is a modern property in the Surfside Estates of Potrero that features a 3,500 square foot (326 m²) one-story home with three bedrooms and an amazing onebedroom casita, both furnished with chic decor and laid-back beach vibes. The space between the main house and the casita, there is a stunning outdoor oasis with a sparkling swimming pool, tranquil garden landscaping, and several spaces for lounging and relaxing. The main home offers a spacious open-concept layout, featuring a comfortable living room and a well-equipped kitchen. The living room has modern furniture, including a plush couch and wooden entertainment center, custom artwork, and a flat-screen TV. The living room is next to a large sliding glass door, which opens to a covered patio overlooking the pool. The patio is furnished with a stunning handcrafted wooden dining table that can accommodate up to eight guests for alfresco dining. The kitchen features a spacious island with a waterfall ledge and a breakfast bar. It also has high-end stone countertops, stylish wood cabinets with matte black hardware, a farmhouse sink, and stainless steel appliances, including a refrigerator and freezer, an oven and stovetop with a range hood, a dishwasher, and a microwave. The kitchen offers ample space for food preparation and entertaining and features a nook with a round dining table that can seat four guests. The main house features three bedrooms. The master bedroom offers a king-sized bed, a flat-screen TV, and a walk-in closet with a safe. The second and third bedrooms each feature a queen-sized bed. One of the rooms has a beautiful garden-style mural above the bed with a flat screen TV, and the other has a desk, an office chair, and a computer monitor, making this property ideal for those working remotely during their vacation to Costa Rica. Many bedrooms offer sliding glass doors that open to the stunning outdoor oasis. The main house has two bathrooms, each updated with modern fixtures and walk-in showers with glass doors and rainfall showerheads. In addition to the main house, Casa Morpho has a private casita featuring a bedroom with a queen bed and a bathroom with an updated walk-in shower. The casita comes with its own living room with a couch that can turn into a bed, a flat-screen TV and a kitchen space that includes a sink, refrigerator, and freezer. There is AC in the guesthouse bedroom,though no AC unit, in this living room of the guesthouse. The main house and casita are connected by a beautifully manicured outdoor space, showcasing a large private swimming pool with beach entry for easy access and lounging. The backyard offers plenty of places to sit and relax, including a shaded pergola next to the pool with four lounge chairs, a covered terrace with comfortable outdoor couches and a custom-painted mural, and another covered patio with a wooden dining table. The outdoor space has an outdoor shower next to the pool and connects to a half-bathroom for convenience. It is surrounded by lush, vibrant gardens to create an inviting oasis! Casa Morpho is a secure property, featuring an electric gate, an integrated alarm system with motion sensors and outside cameras, 24/7 on-call security, and keyless entry with unique renter codes. The property has air conditioning, Wi-Fi, a washer and dryer, and optional maid service. Pet-friendly policy We welcome your furry friends at our property! Before you book, each pet must be verified and approved based on breed and size (max 35 lbs.), accompanied by a recent photo. A refundable pet fee of $200 per stay, along with an additional cleaning fee of $50 + 13% per pet, is required to ensure our home remains pristine for all guests. We allow up to two pets per reservation. Pets must be kept on a leash at all times in public areas within the property grounds. Certain properties and complexes may have specific rules and registration requirements. Pets need to be verified at least 24 hours prior to check-in. If guests arrive at check-in with unverified pets, access to the property will be denied. Owners are responsible for their pets' behavior and any damages incurred. Surfside Surfside is a charming community on Playa Potrero where many expats live permanently (in particular Canadians and Italians), and where visitors can choose from a wide range of elegant vacation rentals, appetizing restaurants and lively bars. Located between the towns of Potrero and Flamingo, Surfside is an eminently walkable village where the beach is never more than a few blocks away. Several tour offices offer a variety of adventures by land and sea, and real estate offices will be happy to show you your next home in paradise. Attractions you won’t want to miss include the beachfront Sailing Center (restaurant, bar, pool and sailing packages); the popular Perlas restaurant (a high-end roadhouse/sports bar with big-screen TVs, live music, and great wings, burgers and pizzas); the Cervecería Independiente craft brewery between the two; and other local eateries including the Shack and the Beach House. The lines are somewhat blurred between Potrero and Surfside — Potrero (“pasture”) was the original Costa Rican name of both, but Surfside became the popular name when a lot of foreigners began developing its southern outskirts. Most people would probably say that Potrero starts somewhere north of Perlas, and it’s Surfside to the south. In either place, you can’t go wrong. Special Places of Costa Rica is committed to protecting our properties and complying with short-term rental regulations, which is why all guests are required to complete an independent verification with our trusted partner, TRUVI, before check-in. You will be contacted via email, text, or app notification with instructions to complete this process. As part of the verification, you will need to choose between paying a refundable security deposit (which includes a non-refundable 2% processing fee) or purchasing a non-refundable damage waiver, which protects you in case of accidental damage during your stay. We strongly recommend the damage waiver, as it provides peace of mind and avoids tying up funds with a deposit. Both the TRUVI verification and your selection of either the deposit or the damage waiver must be completed prior to your arrival.
