Calm surroundings and stunning views. Would stay again. Good to be aware that it is up a sloped walk and a flight of stairs. Even in August lack of AC was no issue, fabulous cross breezes and fans were sufficient for comfortable, lovely sleeping. You must keep food in airtight containers or the fridge, teeny ants are on the hunt for your snacks. Don’t think there’s much they can do about them. Highly recommend Kilauea Bakery for their muffins and cookies and Pacos fish tacos were good. We loved visiting the lighthouse for views and birds. Mahalo for sharing your experience! We’re so glad you enjoyed the peaceful setting, beautiful views, and cooling trade winds that make for comfortable sleeping even without A/C. We do apologize for the issue with the sugar ants-our team stays on top of cleaning and pest control, but these tiny island ants can still find their way in if food is left out. We appreciate your helpful tips for future guests, and we’re delighted you were able to explore some of the wonderful local spots nearby. We hope to welcome you back again soon! Condo is very dated and not well maintained. Burned out light bulbs, broken screen, dishwasher is falling apart, everything in the unit is cheap and run down. Would never stay in this unit again but the complex is quiet with great views. M
