Welcome to The Syd. Set in a hidden paradise just minutes from the French Quarter, The Syd offers six poolside villas for large group getaways. This 6BA, 3.5BA space features an incredible living area with two sectionals, a huge 85 inch TV, and an enormous mural depicting a scene of a Mardi Gras day parade. Hotel License Number: 23-XSTR-19557 The dining room has a beautiful custom- built pecan dining table that can comfortably seat 16 people, three chandeliers that were made by a local lighting designer, and a second 85 inch TV. The space was inspired by uptown Mardi Gras and a variety of murals, paintings, photographs, and other artwork were commissioned for this space. Highlights include a 100 SF mural by Ceaux, a prominent New Orleans artist, original bead work from a Mardi Gras Indian Chief, and hand painted Mardi Gras float flowers from a carnival artist. The Syd revolves around its outdoor space and you'll have access to the heated outdoor pool, cabana, hot tub, sauna, Finnish "bucket" shower, regular outdoor shower, and outdoor kitchen. Note that these outdoor spaces (pool, hot tub, sauna, and grill areas) are shared with the other units at The Syd. The space has 6 Bedrooms and 3.5 Bathrooms. Bedroom 1: 1 King Bed Bedroom 2: 1 Full Bed, 1 Twin Bed Bedroom 3: 1 Queen Bed Bedroom 4: 1 Twin Bed Bedroom 5: 1 Queen Bed Bedroom 6: 2 Queen Beds *There is also an air mattress in the closet. The Syd is centrally located between the French Quarter/Downtown and the Garden District. There are coffee shops, restaurants, and bars within walking distance and you’ll be a one minute walk from the famous St. Charles Streetcar which you can take to both the French Quarter and Garden District. Note that the outdoor spaces (pool, hot tub, and grill areas) are shared with the other units at The Syd. All outdoor spaces (pool, hot tub, sauna, grill area) are open from 8am-10pm daily. For the security of our guests, we have external recording devices (security cameras) located in the common areas. These are exterior only. This property is equipped with a noise monitoring device. It does NOT record actual sounds or conversations, it simply monitors the noise level (measured in decibels). This device also monitors occupancy and cigarette smoke.
