Welcome to my newly renovated, cosy home, located in Salt River- which was once a booming part of Cape Town because of its close proximity to the CBD and also known as the industrial heart of Cape Town. It's just a short walk to some of Woodstock's ever vibrant streets. The living space is open-plan with a modern kitchen equipped with all the essentials you need for your stay, and you can enjoy making use of the BBQ facilities in the backyard. A fully equipped kitchen, laundry facilities, relaxing lounge area with DSTV and Netflix and comfortable beds. My place is perfect for guests who want to stay close to the city but are also looking for a quiet spot to come back to at the end of the day. The property is equipped with an alarm system as well for peace of mind. Close to my place is The Old Biscuit Mill which is a vibrant, warm-hearted little village in the heart of Woodstock where talented people come together to share, collaborate and show off their heart-felt passion. Every Saturday they have a "Neighbourgoods" market where you can find fresh produce, tasty meals and drinks prepared for you on the spot and locally made clothing and furniture for sale. This is a double story home: Lower level - Lounge, kitchen, two bedrooms and one bathroom. Upper level - Two bedrooms and one bathroom. Please ensure you switch the alarm off when entering and on again upon leaving the house. There is no secure parking, however there should always be enough parking in the street in front of the house. You’ll need to use your own login credentials to stream on the TV As you may have heard, South Africa is experiencing energy and water shortages - with this in mind, we kindly ask you to be mindful of your usage. Important Information for Long Stays For bookings longer than 7 nights, a mandatory mid-stay clean will be scheduled every 7 nights (e.g., on Day 8, Day 15, etc.) to maintain hygiene and linen quality. This service includes fresh linen, light cleaning, and trash removal. Fee: R1790 per clean (separate from the standard cleaning fee). The fee is payable in advance via Airbnb’s Resolution Centre (an official Airbnb process) and must be settled before check-in. Please note: Linen may only be used for a maximum of 7 nights before replacement. Please note that South Africa experiences scheduled power outages known as loadshedding. This is managed by Eskom to prevent strain on the national power grid. Loadshedding may affect electricity availability for a few hours at a time. To stay informed about loadshedding schedules in our area, we highly recommend downloading the EskomSePush app. This app provides real-time updates, schedules, and notifications so you can plan accordingly.
