Stone Cottage w/ Artisan Design in Cascade
About the Home
Built in 1909 by the forest service, Cascade Cottage has been lovingly reimagined to marry artisan mountain charm with modern amenities. Handcrafted details—from the terracotta breeze block partition wall to handmade Saltillo tile floors—create a warm, earthy backdrop. Enjoy a cozy gas fireplace, heated bathroom floor, and a bright kitchen. Enjoy unobstructed mountain views, curated art, and a thoughtful layout that makes this cottage an ideal hideaway for two. Step into a thoughtfully curated space where every detail tells a story. The living area welcomes you with original oil paintings, large-format film photographs, and a terracotta breeze block partition that subtly divides the space while keeping it open and airy. Handmade Saltillo tiles underfoot imbue warmth, leading you to a gas fireplace designed to look like a classic wood stove. Continue into the kitchen, where rough-sawn Douglas Fir flooring from a local sawmill meets custom cabinets and a quartz countertop. Large windows frame stunning mountain views, making meal prep a joy. The kitchen is fully equipped with an electric stove, refrigerator, microwave, Keurig, pour-over coffee setup, blender, toaster, and more. In the bathroom, floor-to-ceiling handmade Moroccan zellige tiles and a heated floor invite relaxation and delight. In the bedroom space, you’ll find a cozy queen bed, Restoration Hardware leather chairs, and a Smart TV for winding down. We truly love this cottage and believe you will as well!
