The Base Camp 49 Guesthouse sleeps 4 adults in two bedrooms. Base Camp 49 is a new purpose built campus of nightly rental homes, located on the ski trails in the heart of Mazama. Designed by one of the North-West's award winning architects, built to the highest standards and quality at every level, and tastefully furnished with modern décor. Located on the owner's property adjacent to the Base Camp 49 campus, the guesthouse is made available on a limited basis. The Base Camp 49 guesthouse can accommodate 4 adults in 2 bedrooms and an open-plan living space. The primary bedroom has a queen bed. The guest bedroom has a queen bed and a twin murphy bed. The main living space has a well-equipped modern kitchen, dining table with breakfast bar area seating four, a large sectional sofa provides ample room to spread out and relax. The living room has floor to ceiling windows and sliding doors opening onto the private covered patio. The cabin is heated with radiant floors and air conditioning when the summer days heat up. There is wood burning stove to enjoy in the winter months as the snow falls. A full size washer & dryer is available in case you need to clean some laundry after a long hike out in the wilderness. Guesthouse guests can also make use of the large common grass courtyard area on the adjacent Base Camp 49 campus, where there are also two large community wood burning fire pits for guests to use during certain hours and seasons. Base Camp 49 is located on the Methow River at the iconic Mazama Corner meadows. Conveniently located close to the junction of Lost River Road and State Route 20 on a private road. In front of the property is the Mazama Corner field which is a conservation easement with the Methow Conservancy, the winter-time ski trail John’s Way crosses this field providing convenient access to the Methow Trails network. The Methow Community trail for biking, walking, running, and skiing is adjacent to the campus as well along with the Mazama Trailhead just a few quick minutes away. The property also enjoys a private riverfront on the Methow River, and some of the best mountain views in Mazama. It is a ½ mile, under 10 minute walk to the Mazama Store with its amazing bakery, well stocked grocery and ‘a little bit of everything good’. Further afield it’s a 22 minute drive to the Cutthroat Lake trailhead, 24 minutes to Washington Pass and 28 minutes to Maple Pass trailhead, making this a very convenient location for exploring the North Cascades National Park with its many world-class hiking trails. Great for beating the crowds and snagging a trailhead parking spot at peak seasons. OCCUPANCY Four guests are included in the nightly rental rate. Additional overnight guests are NOT allowed. PETS Pets are not permitted in this cabin. BBQ is only available seasonally. Front porch is not accessible in winter, the large back porch is year round. SKI HUT Base Camp 49 has a convenient ski waxing hut on the property so you can get prepped to ski right out your door on the John's Way cross-country ski trail, which connects to the largest trail system in North America. In addition to cross-country skiing you can ride your Fat Tire Bike or snowshoe on the adjacent trail. PARKING & ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING If you are driving an electric vehicle over to the Methow Valley we have you covered as there is a charging station for each of the 4 units on the property. Each unit will have signage for parking and can accommodate 2 cars.
