Good to know
Welcome! We want you to have a comfortable stay, so here are a few helpful details about the home and the neighborhood. About the home - This apartment is located in a charming older building. While it is clean, safe, and well-maintained, some features reflect the character and age of the property. - The apartment is accessed via one flight of interior stairs. The stairs are sturdy and safe, although the wood has a worn, vintage look and could benefit from refinishing. - The bathroom is original to the building and shows signs of age. Please note that some staining on the shower floor is permanent despite professional cleaning. - The private terrace is a nice place to enjoy some fresh air. It overlooks a service alley behind nearby restaurants, so occasional odors may be noticeable during hot summer days. You may also see pigeons in the area, which can make it difficult to keep the terrace completely free of debris despite regular cleaning. Noise - There is a potential for some noise from street activity outside, like traffic and pedestrians. - The larger bedroom (two queen beds) faces Duluth Avenue. While not a busy street, you may occasionally hear passing cars and pedestrians. - The smaller bedroom (two double beds) faces the back of the building, where you may notice a light, constant hum from a nearby convenience store's air conditioning unit — typically only noticeable for the first few minutes. Amenities - Bed linens, towels, high-speed fiber Wi-Fi, and cable TV are provided free of charge. - We provide a starter supply of essentials: dish sponge, dish detergent, trash bags, toilet paper, hand soap, and shampoo. Extra supplies can be found in the closet, and if you need more after that, there's a pharmacy one block east (Jean Coutu). - Daily housekeeping isn't included but can be arranged for an additional fee. - Air conditioning is not available during the winter months. - If you need the floor mattress, please let us know before your arrival so we can prepare the extra bedding. Parking - Street parking is available but subject to local regulations. Please pay close attention to posted signs — most secondary streets require a residential permit, while main avenues like Mont-Royal are generally paid. Visitors can purchase a temporary permit for $8 every 24 hours using code PMR02 at any parking kiosk (please leave the permit visible on your dashboard). Guests are responsible for any parking tickets or fines. House Guidelines - Please remove your shoes while inside to help protect the hardwood floors. - Children should always be supervised in the common corridor and stairways to prevent falls. - For safety reasons, the fixed metal ladder leading to the roof is strictly off limits. - Music is welcome — please just be mindful of noise so we can all be considerate of the neighbors. - Candles, incense, and any open flames are not permitted inside the property. Before Your Stay - Depending on the booking platform, guests may be asked to provide a government-issued ID (upon booking, at check-in, or during the stay), sign a rental agreement, and/or provide a refundable security deposit before check-in. - GST and QST are included in the reservation price. Business travelers may request an invoice for tax purposes. Thank you for taking a moment to review these notes. We look forward to hosting you and hope you have a wonderful stay! House Rules: - Guests must be at least 18 years old to book. - No smoking of any kind (tobacco or cannabis) is permitted inside the home, and recreational drug use is not permitted on the premises. A $300 fee will apply if this rule is not followed. - Please limit guests to the number listed in your reservation. - Guests are responsible for any damages that occur during their stay, as well as any additional cleaning required afterward. - Pets may be welcome with prior approval. For everyone's comfort, please keep pets off the furniture and beds. There's no pet fee, though an additional cleaning charge may apply if needed. We're unable to accommodate aggressive or dangerous animals. - To help protect the property, please avoid hanging towels or clothing on the balcony/terrace railings. - Guests are responsible for any fines or penalties resulting from violations of these house rules. - If booking through a platform where we manage payments directly, a refundable security deposit of $500 CAD applies (service fees may apply). We manage other apartments nearby — feel free to reach out if you'd like more information or wish to add another property to your reservation. CITQ 305506
