Kauai has been in our hearts for about 35 years & we enjoy renting thru Garden Island because of the properties they offer as well as their response time with any questions we may have. Look forward to our return in 2026. Enjoyed the sights from the lanai and beach - mornings, turtles, seals passing by, dolphin pods too! Enjoyed snorkeling to find the hidden life below, and close by are more amazing beaches and eats! The location is simply amazing - right on the beach with an incomparable view. The sunsets were breathtaking.<br/>We also found the location on the island to be very good. It was a good starting point for various excursions and there were several very good restaurants within a 10-minute drive.<br/>Unfortunately, there were some aspects that were less good. The wifi was very, very slow, actually a no-go in this day and age. The bedrooms cannot be darkened and so you inevitably wake up with the sunrise, if the roosters have not yet woken you. If they would just invest a little in shading the terrace (additional, correctly positioned blinds), it would be a big win. And showering in a kind of bathtub with a shower curtain wasn't really that great either.<br/>But overall, the five days in Kauai were fantastic. This home is located on Baby Beach, the perfect location for families with little ones. Gorgeous sunsets, a sandy beach, warm water, and little pools for tots to “swim” in. The house couldn’t be more accommodating- 2 bedroom suites, each with a balcony looking out on the Pacific. We saw many turtles and whales. We look forward to a return visit. This is paradise! We have stayed at this property at least 3 times and the other homes on <br/>Baby Beach, as well.....this is our families “go to” very favorite vacation spot. Close to anything we may need. And, of course, the beach is perfect. And the staff at Garden Island are attentive. Thank you.... This was our 10th or 11th stay. We come to relax and enjoy the sun and water. We live in Colorado, and we left a lot of very cold weather there. We have seen Hale Ohe' be well maintained and cared for all these years. It is just a delightful place to be.
