Welcome to Azurea, a newly renovated 6-bedroom modern retreat in the exclusive Ocean Park community, just steps from the beach. Designed for comfort, privacy, and effortless coastal living, this spacious home features a private pool, full air conditioning, a backup generator, and a water cistern, ensuring a seamless and comfortable stay for up to 12 guests. Azurea offers six beautifully appointed bedrooms, each with a queen bed and a private en-suite bathroom, providing comfort and privacy for every guest. IMPORTANT NOTE: Azurea is newly renovated and new to the rental market. The home is fully furnished and ready for guests, though a few decorative touches are still being finalized. Nonetheless, we are happy to start welcoming guests who want to enjoy its proximity to the beach and spend the day relaxing at the pool. AZUREA'S KEY FEATURES: - 5 bedrooms in the main house (each with a queen bed) - 1 fully independent mini apartment serving as the 6th bedroom (queen bed) - 8 full bathrooms total (One in each bedroom, one on the first floor, and one in the pool area) - Private pool - Power generator - Water cistern - Balcony with views of the beach - Fully air conditioned (Central AC in main house and split unit in mini apartment) FIRST FLOOR – Main House The first level of Azurea is designed for gathering and entertaining, and includes: - Two bedrooms, each with a private en-suite bathroom - Spacious living area with TV - Fully equipped main kitchen with island - Dining area - Laundry room with washer and dryer - Covered terrace with outdoor furnishings - Private pool - Two additional full bathrooms (one near the living area and one accessible from the pool area) The layout offers seamless indoor-outdoor living, perfect for enjoying Puerto Rico’s tropical climate. SECOND FLOOR – Main House Upstairs, you’ll find three additional bedrooms. Two of them share access to an expansive balcony, ideal for morning coffee or relaxing in the evening breeze. The master bedroom also includes a TV. MINI APARTMENT The separate mini apartment offers additional privacy and is fully equipped with: - Its own full kitchen - A small dining table - TV - A full bathroom This space is ideal for guests who prefer a bit more independence while still being part of the main property. SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS Each bedroom has one queen-sized bed and is equipped with air conditioning, blackout curtains, closets, and an ensuite bathroom. PACK AND PLAY (SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY): We can leave a complimentary Pack and Play at the property upon request. This should be requested upon booking or no later than 5 days before arrival. Pack and Plays are subject to availability. OUTDOOR LIVING The private pool area offers a refreshing retreat after a day at the beach. With the ocean just steps away, guests can easily alternate between beach time and poolside relaxation. COMFORT & RELIABILITY Azurea is equipped with a full backup generator and a water cistern, providing peace of mind during your stay. In the event of a power or water interruption, the home remains fully functional and comfortable. KITCHEN Azurea features a full-size and modern, fully equipped kitchen that is ideal for extended stays. The kitchen includes a fridge, freezer, coffee maker, microwave, dishwashing machine, oven, and stovetop, making it suitable for extended stays. GETTING AROUND & PARKING Azurea is the perfect base camp to explore all that Puerto Rico has to offer. The property includes parking for up to three (3) cars. LOCATION Azurea is located in Ocean Park, Puerto Rico. This is considered a prime location in San Juan. From Azurea, you are a 2-minute walk away from the sand and within walking distance to some of the best dining options Puerto Rico has to offer. Forget the rental car because from here, you can walk or Uber to everything! The house is approx. 10 minutes from the airport, restaurants, supermarkets, pharmacies, and shops all within walking distance. There are many things to do in the surrounding areas; here are some of our favorites: Chill at the beach! It is one of our favorite beaches in Puerto Rico and a must-do if you are staying at Azurea. The house has beach chairs, towels, and a cooler for a long day at the beach. Lunch or dinner at La Placita de Santurce a local market with 20+ restaurants and awesome nightlife. We love Santaella restaurant which offers local cuisine with a modern approach and is in La Placita. Explore Calle Loiza, which is blocks from the apartment. This up and coming hip street is littered with funky dining and shopping options. Start off with a margarita at Acapulco and head down the strip stopping at Sabrina or Azucena for sophisticated Puerto Rican food. Explore the El Yunque Rainforest. El Yunque is an easy 40-minute drive from the property and is the only rainforest under US Flagship. We can help coordinate tours to this destination. Spend a day in Old San Juan. Azurea is a 10 min Uber ride from the oldest city in all the US. There is a lot of history to be seen and great food, drinks, and shopping to enjoy! STARTER AMENITIES At West Indies Vacation Rentals, we strive to provide top-notch amenities, ensuring our guests feel at home during their stay. All properties come with freshly laundered bed linens and towels. We provide 2 bath towels per guest and 1 pool/beach towel per guest. We provide a set of disposable essentials to help you get your vacation started comfortably. These include: - 1 set of hotel-size soap and shampoo (per bathroom) - 3 garbage bags - 1 roll of paper towels - 2 rolls of toilet paper (per bathroom) - 1 dish soap - 1 dish sponge Please note that we do not provide unlimited disposable amenities. It is the guest’s responsibility to review what is included in the property and stock any additional items needed for the duration of the stay. Most properties also include at least 2 beach chairs and an ice cooler. You may reach out to us 5 days before arrival for confirmation. HOUSE RULES RENTAL AGREEMENT: All bookings require a signed Short-Term Rental Agreement, which will be sent upon confirmation of your reservation. Guests must upload a valid photo ID (no selfies) that matches the name on the credit card used for the booking. The agreement must be signed within 48 hours of booking or prior to entering the property, whichever comes first. Check-in instructions will not be provided until the agreement is completed. NO SMOKING: Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property. A $500 smoking fee will be charged if this rule is violated. NO PETS: While we are pet lovers, pets are not permitted at the property at any time. A $300 fine will be charged if this rule is violated, and guests may be asked to leave the property. QUIET HOURS: Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Please be mindful of noise during these hours out of respect for nearby residents/neighbors. UTILITIES (WATER & ELECTRICITY): In the event of an interruption to water or electrical service, the host is not responsible for hotel, alternate lodging, or transportation expenses. If service is interrupted for more than 3 hours, guests may cancel the reservation and request a refund for unused nights only. Nights already used are non-refundable. MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY: The maximum occupancy is 12 adults/children at all times, including visitors. OCCUPANCY ENFORCEMENT: Occupancy limits are strictly enforced. Exceeding the maximum occupancy may result in immediate cancellation of the reservation or removal from the property without refund. TOWELS & LINENS: Towels and linens are provided for normal use only. Please do not use them for cleaning or allow them to be stained with food, grease, or other substances. Charges may apply for damaged or stained items. TOWEL HANGING: Please do not hang towels or any other items to dry in areas visible from outside the unit. A $100 community fine may apply if this rule is violated. SUBLETTING: Subletting or re-renting the property is not permitted. CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT TIMES Check-in begins at 4:00 PM, and since this is a self-check-in unit, you can arrive anytime after that. If you’d like to check in earlier, please contact us the day before your arrival, and we’ll confirm availability. When possible, early check-in typically starts around 11:00 AM. Please note that early check-in is subject to availability and depends on our cleaning schedule. If you need a guaranteed early check-in, you will need to book from the night prior to ensure the property is ready upon your arrival. Check-out time is at 11:00 AM. For late check-out requests, please reach out the day before your departure, and we’ll be happy to check availability for you. TRAVEL INSURANCE / HURRICANE SEASON We strongly recommend that all guests purchase travel insurance, not only during the peak months of Hurricane Season (July to October) but also throughout the year to cover unexpected events such as travel delays, pandemics, or other unforeseen issues. Travel insurance is inexpensive and can reimburse travelers for most expenses associated with canceling travel outside of the cancellation window; however, coverage will depend on the policy purchased.
