As a courtesy, we wanted to let you know that at any moment you might hear: · Church bells ringing at 5am (or all night, because… why not?) · Fireworks all night or early in the morning for who-knows-what celebration (seriously, no one knows) · Endless parades marching right past your door, closing major streets & causing traffic delays · The trash truck ringing their bells, announcing their arrival · The whistle of the knife-sharpening guy making his rounds · Construction at any given moment just to keep things interesting · Not to mention, dogs barking or roosters crowing And because this is a 400-year-old colonial town in Mexico, protected by the federal historic society to preserve its centuries-old charm, the infrastructure has its own personality, too.
