Playa Bonita is a beautiful remodeled 2-bed 2-bath apartment located at the Marbella del Caribe Condominiums in Isla Verde, right in front of one of the most beautiful beaches in Puerto Rico and arguably the best urban beach in the Caribbean. From Playa Bonita, you and your guests will be staying right on a 1.5-mile-long beach and will be within walking distance of endless options for dining and nightlife. The apartment is located 5 minutes from Luis Muñoz Marin Airport. You’ll love the beach views from every room in the apartment and the recently renovated kitchen and bathrooms. The property comfortably sleeps 4 adults in king and queen-size beds. Playa Bonita offers awesome amenities such as; a communal pool, yoga mats to relax by the beach, paddle ball, games, and a basketball for the basketball court. IMPORTANT BUILDING CONSTRUCTION NOTICE: We’d like to inform you that the building is currently undergoing improvements to the handicap ramps and surrounding sidewalks. You may experience some construction activity or noise during the day while this work is being completed. NO SMOKING on the balconies and common areas (cigarettes, tobacco, marijuana, or cannabis). Will be fined $50.00 instantly. The building does not allow anyone to hang clothes, towels, mops, or other artifacts on the walls or balcony railings. Will be fined $50.00 instantly. LIVING AREAS Enter the apartment, and you are greeted with beautiful beach and ocean views as you look across the dining room, living room, and balcony. The dining room comfortably sits 4 adults and has a convenient opening to the kitchen counter so you can serve meals buffet style, also sits 2 additional guests at the kitchen countertop. The living room has a flat-screen TV with both English and Spanish channels. The unit also has a washer/dryer perfect for an extended stay. The living room also has a wonderful layout for socializing. Enter the balcony, and you will feel like you are on the sand. It does not get closer to the beach than this! PLEASE NOTE: THE LIVING ROOM SOFA IS NOW DIFFERENT. SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS The master bedroom has 1 king-size bed with epic views of Isla Verde Beach. There is a flat-screen smart TV with cable. There is also a private full bathroom. The 2nd bedroom has a queen-size bed and spectacular beach views. There is a large sliding door closet in this room. The unit also has a 2nd dedicated full bathroom. PLEASE NOTE: THERE ARE NO LONGER SOFAS IN THE BEDROOMS. PACK AND PLAY (SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY): We can leave a complimentary Pack and Play at the property upon request. This should be requested upon booking or no later than 5 days before arrival. Pack and Plays are subject to availability. KITCHEN Playa Bonita has a European sleek style kitchen with quartz countertops, LED lighting, stovetop, toaster oven, full fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. The kitchen opens up to the dining and living room, so you always socialize with the rest of the group. Note that the kitchen does not have a full oven. GETTING AROUND & PARKING (COMPACT CAR ONLY) We recommend moving around via Uber if staying within the general Isla Verde and San Juan area. If you decide to rent a car, this property offers one (1) assigned parking for a **compact** car. The parking garage's ceiling is a low one and the parking spaces are small so we only recommend it for compact cars. Please keep this in mind before booking. LOCATION Playa Bonita is located on Isla Verde Beach, Puerto Rico. This is arguably the best urban beach in the Caribbean. The beach is 1.5 miles long, and the Isla Verde strip has a long list of dining and nightlife options. The apartment is 5 minutes from the airport and has car rentals, supermarkets, a Walgreens, and multiple hotels and casinos within walking distance. There are many things to do in the surrounding areas; here are some of our favorites: Chill at the beach! It is one of our favorite beaches in Puerto Rico and a must-do if you stay at Playa Bonita. The apartment has beach chairs, towels, and coolers for a long day at the beach. Alambique beach bar - great casual food on the beach a couple of doors down. We love the fish tacos and the local Ocean Lab Brewery Mambo beer. Head there early to beat the crowds. For a very special occasion, book ahead on Opentable for an epic tasting menu meal at Marmalade in Old San Juan. You can book fitness classes and massages at the el San Juan hotel a few doors down, including beach yoga for $15. Buy any groceries and anything else you need at the local Pueblo grocery store, CVS, and Walgreens - all within walking distance and open 24/7. For a low-key, relaxing beach day, consider sitting under the palm trees when it’s too windy to use a beach umbrella. The shade and breeze are amazing! Shop at The Mall of San Juan. This brand new mall is a 10-minute drive from the apartment and has excellent shops and dining options. Explore the El Yunque Rainforest. El Yunque is an easy 30-minute drive from the property and is the only rainforest under US Flagship. Spend a day in Old San Juan. Playa Bonita is a 15 min drive away from the oldest city in all of the US. There is a lot of history and great food and drinks to savor. STARTER AMENITIES At West Indies Vacation Rentals, we strive to provide top-notch amenities, ensuring our guests feel at home during their stay. All properties come with freshly laundered bed linens and towels. We provide 2 bath towels per guest and 1 beach/pool towel per guest. We provide a set of disposable essentials to help you get your vacation started comfortably. These include: - 1 set of hotel-size soap and shampoo (per bathroom) - 3 garbage bags - 1 roll of paper towels - 2 rolls of toilet paper (per bathroom) - 1 dish soap - 1 dish sponge - A small amount of laundry detergent Please note that we do not provide unlimited disposable amenities. It is the guest’s responsibility to review what is included in the property and stock any additional items needed for the duration of the stay. Most properties also include at least 2 beach chairs and an ice cooler. You may reach out to us 5 days before arrival for confirmation. HOUSE RULES RENTAL AGREEMENT: All bookings require a signed Short-Term Rental Agreement, which will be sent upon confirmation of your reservation. Guests must upload a valid photo ID (no selfies) that matches the name on the credit card used for the booking. The agreement must be signed within 48 hours of booking or prior to entering the property, whichever comes first. Check-in instructions will not be provided until the agreement is completed. NO SMOKING: Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property. A $500 smoking fee will be charged if this rule is violated. NO PETS: While we are pet lovers, pets are not permitted at the property at any time. A $300 fine will be charged if this rule is violated, and guests may be asked to leave the property. QUIET HOURS: Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Please be mindful of noise during these hours out of respect for nearby residents/neighbors. UTILITIES (WATER & ELECTRICITY): In the event of an interruption to water or electrical service, the host is not responsible for hotel, alternate lodging, or transportation expenses. If service is interrupted for more than 3 hours, guests may cancel the reservation and request a refund for unused nights only. Nights already used are non-refundable. MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY: The maximum occupancy is 4 adults/children at all times, including visitors. OCCUPANCY ENFORCEMENT: Occupancy limits are strictly enforced. Exceeding the maximum occupancy may result in immediate cancellation of the reservation or removal from the property without refund. TOWELS & LINENS: Towels and linens are provided for normal use only. Please do not use them for cleaning or allow them to be stained with food, grease, or other substances. Charges may apply for damaged or stained items. TOWEL HANGING: Please do not hang towels or any other items to dry in areas visible from outside the unit. A $100 community fine may apply if this rule is violated. SUBLETTING: Subletting or re-renting the property is not permitted. CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT TIMES Check-in begins at 4:00 PM, and since this is a self-check-in unit, you can arrive anytime after that. If you’d like to check in earlier, please contact us the day before your arrival, and we’ll confirm availability. When possible, early check-in typically starts around 11:00 AM. Please note that early check-in is subject to availability and depends on our cleaning schedule. If you need a guaranteed early check-in, you will need to book from the night prior to ensure the property is ready upon your arrival. Check-out time is at 11:00 AM. For late check-out requests, please reach out the day before your departure, and we’ll be happy to check availability for you. TRAVEL INSURANCE / HURRICANE SEASON We strongly recommend that all guests purchase travel insurance, not only during the peak months of Hurricane Season (July to October) but also throughout the year to cover unexpected events such as travel delays, pandemics, or other unforeseen issues. Travel insurance is inexpensive and can reimburse travelers for most expenses associated with canceling travel outside of the cancellation window; however, coverage will depend on the policy purchased.
