Hosted by Ridgestone, Ellerthwaite Place is an exceptional three-bedroom, two-bathroom holiday home in Windermere, Lake District. Located on a quiet road, just minutes from the shops and restaurants of Windermere village, this property offers easy access to all the exciting attractions and natural beauty the Lake District has to offer. Its ideal location makes it the perfect base for both exploring the famous fells and enjoying the vibrant local scene. Ridgestone is pleased to host you at this three-bedroom, two-bathroom holiday home, which is situated in the iconic Lake District town of Windermere. The property features a convenient ground-floor bathroom and a main family bathroom upstairs that includes a walk-in shower in a wetroom style bathroom. All three bedrooms are equipped with fresh linens and towels, ensuring a comfortable stay for all guests. The kitchen is a fully stocked, open-plan space with everything you need to prepare a delicious meal, including an electric oven with a four-ring hob, a large fridge freezer, and a full set of cooking utensils and glassware. For added convenience, plastic glassware is provided for guests to use while relaxing in the outdoor hot tub. The kitchen also leads directly to the back garden, creating a perfect indoor-outdoor living experience. The private garden is a true highlight of this Windermere retreat. Guests are welcome to use the hot tub at their own convenience! We respectfully ask that guests do not use the hot tub between the hours of 11PM and 6AM. The outdoor space also features comfortable seating and a fire-pit chimney, perfect for unwinding under the stars. While logs are not provided, fuel can be easily purchased from nearby petrol stations. Inside, the inviting living room at the front of the house is a cosy space for relaxation. It features a smart TV with streaming apps like Netflix, a comfortable sofa and armchair, and a classic log-burning fireplace for those tranquil evenings in. Windermere is where you will find an array of café’s, bars, restaurants and quirky independent shops. Closest of all is the well-known Home Ground café, renowned for being the best place to brunch in the whole of the Lake District. Exploration and brunch over, it is then time to head down to Lake Windermere, found on the shores of equally iconic Bowness-on-Windermere, where you can again find more fantastic shopping and a thriving cafe and bar culture for you to enjoy. Rounding your afternoon off, take a leisurely walk along the glebe or, if you're feeling more adventurous a boat ride on one of the many lake cruisers, alternatively, hire a private boat for a more personal experience and live out any sea fairing pirate fantasies you might have had as a child. Please be aware that the hot tub is legally only allowed for 16+ years of age, and the tub should not be used after 11 PM. Children are welcome; however, we do not supply a travel cot or childproofing! Our garden is typically tended to on Wednesdays or Thursdays twice a month.
