About the Home
Central Station is a newly built spacious cabin nestled in the heart of Mazama with ample space for friends and family to gather. The home has three bedrooms including a king bed primary suite, a kids bunk room with bunk beds for four, and a second king bedroom. The large open plan living room with its high wood paneled cathedral ceilings has a full kitchen, cozy lounge area around the gas fireplace, and a generously sized dining alcove. There are large shaded porches on both the front and back; the front porch has a stunning view of Goat Peak. The prime location is just a few minutes walk to the Mazama Store, Mazama Public House, and trailhead. A great adventure base camp and retreat for all seasons. This is a generously sized, fully air-conditioned, three bedroom home situated in the trees close to the Chechaquo Ranch meadow in Mazama. The large open plan living room includes a full kitchen with dishwasher, kitchen bar with seats for 4, dining table with chairs and stools for 8, and lounge area around a gorgeous stone built gas fireplace. There is also a loft space accessed by a ladder (not suitable for small children): the loft has a foosball table, keyboard and bean bags. The primary bedroom suite has a king bed with patio doors opening onto the front deck, while the primary bathroom has both a soaking tub and walk-in shower. The primary suite is arranged such that the bathroom can either be accessed by all house guests, or be private to the main bedroom. The other wing of the house has the additional two bedrooms and guest bathroom with shower over tub. One of the bedrooms has bunk beds for four (ideal for kids), and the other has two twin beds that are typically joined together to make a king bed (they can be separated to two make twins if needed). All bedrooms have generously sized built-in closets. The entry door on the side of the home opens onto a mud-room with plenty of space for coats and boots, and with a washer and dryer. The rear covered porch has a small outdoor dining table with seats for 4, while the front porch, with its views to Goat Peak has a hammock, chairs for relaxing and a wooden picnic table. The cabin is a short walk to the Inn At Mazama, guests who reserve through us can use the Inn’s pool and tennis/pickleball courts for a daily fee. The full A/C, shaded porches and being close to the pool at The Inn At Mazama make Central Station a great choice for summer stays, while in winter it is very convenient for the ski trails. MAZAMA The cabin is located 500 yards from the Mazama Store and the Methow Trails trailhead (for great hiking, mountain biking and cross-country ski trail options). In addition to the store with its great bakery and grocery, Mazama is home to the Goat’s Beard outdoor store (with mountain bike and fat bike rentals), the Mazama Ski School for cross country ski hire and lessons and the Mazama Public House. NORTH CASCADES NATIONAL PARK Central Station is also conveniently situated for easy access to the North Cascades and the trailheads to many of the Park's world-class hiking trails. It’s under 20 minutes drive to the Cutthroat Lake trailhead, 25 minutes to Washington Pass and 30 minutes to Maple Pass trailhead. Great for beating the crowds and snagging a trailhead parking spot at peak seasons. Central Station sleeps up to 8 guests. Six guests are included in the nightly rental price, additional guests are charged at $25 per person per night. Maximum occupancy is 8 adults. This home has central heating and air-conditioning. There is no TV. Bring your own devices or enjoy a digital detox with conversation, board games and books. Pets are not allowed at Central Station For winter stays a local snow plowing service takes care of Country Road. Please be patient after snow storms as they have many properties to clear. You will need to shovel the entryway area. The Inn Pool - guests of our cabin may use The Inn at Mazama outdoor pool (open from Memorial Day to Labor Day) and tennis/pickleball court located at 15 Country Road in Mazama. The cost to use the pool is $10/guest/day and you should check in at the front desk before heading to the pool. The Inn also has a co-working space and private offices available to rent by the day in case you need space to work during your stay.
