About the Home

Experience extraordinary peace, privacy, & luxury. Gorgeous Modern log cabin! Private Cabin on25 acres with 1/2 mile of Rock Creek frontage with Hot Tub. Built out of logs that were impacted by the great Yellowstone Fire of 1988, this cabin offers quiet space, privacy, and wonderful scenery. Each log was carefully selected and harvested, stripped of all bark by hand using a two-handled draw knife, and finally finished/shaped using a hand ax. The logs were then placed on top of one another in jigsaw-fashion to form walls; with the entire process taking more than 3 years. Each log showcases unique knots and burls, making every wall a true piece of artwork. The cabin sits perfectly secluded in a wooded forest, surrounded by mature trees and the sounds of Rock Creek flowing nearby. If the sun is shining and you feel like exploring, this property offers paths access to Rock Creek. If you feel like staying inside with the cozy pellet stove offering wonderful heat, there is space to do a jigsaw puzzle or settle in with a good book. During summer months the outside firepit area is a great option for the family. The cabin was thoughtfully updated in 2022 with special vacations in mind. It is fully equipped with everything that one might need, and guests can expect to soak in luxury Montana style throughout their entire stay. Starlink internet helps you stay connected if you desire. The hot tub (available year-round) is also close by for relaxing moments. This cabin hosts three bedrooms each with a king bed and two bathrooms, and a loft area with a twin and trundle bed. This cabin sits about 6 miles north of downtown Red Lodge and approximately 15 miles from the ski area parking lot. Please note that this home is not equipped with air conditioning This home is equipped with exterior video cameras are in use to verify noise complaints, confirm number of guests, confirm compliance with quiet hours. This Home is NOT pet friendly Red Lodge, nestled in the foothills of the Beartooth Mountains, is a wonderful place to visit if you are looking for family fun, a place to touch the wild, or just a chance to let your hair down. Whether you are wearing Birkenstocks or cowboy boots, you will find something to do here. (Although downtown is paved and we even have sidewalks, Jimmy Choos are probably not a great idea!) In winter the road ends here. Downhill skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, ice skating, sledding and sleigh riding are just the short list of activities that you can do when visiting us. In summer we revel in the Beartooth Pass opening. We are only 68 miles from Yellowstone Park, but plan on a good two to two and a half hours drive as the “Pass” is stunning in high mountain vistas, rocky cliffs, and jeweled lakes. The Custer National Forest is a haven for wildlife including elk, moose, mountain goats, big horn sheep, bears (black and grizzly), mountain lions and wolves. Golden marmots are often seen dashing across the trails. Golden and bald eagles often visit our area, as well as sandhill cranes and blue herons. No pets allowed. Guest(s) agrees not to have pets at the property. Unauthorized animals or evidence of an animal on property can result in a minimum fee of $250 and/or your reservation being cancelled without a refund. The home is equipped with: bedding, pillows, towels, pots & pans, dishes, toilet paper & paper towels, garbage bags, dish soap, dishwasher soap, detergent for washer and propane or charcoal for the type of grill provided. No food or spices will be provided due to health regulations. We provide a sample amount of soaps, shampoos, and lotion to get you started. Red Lodge, Montana is a rural community that does offer internet and cell service throughout most geographic areas but, some locations are completely void of any internet or cell service. In town and within a 3-5 mile radius of downtown you will enjoy solid cell signal but during times when our population increases due to events, celebration (such as the Fourth of July), or emergency situations such as a wildfire you will notice that these online and cellular services slow down and sometimes, they can slow down to the point where you have to wait to place a call. We can’t do anything to help in these situations, so we encourage people to enjoy the freedom of being “unplugged” and to be patient.
