Easy Winters is a one bedroom cabin located on the Wilson Ranch property. The cabin features a galley kitchen, living room with fold out couch, dining table and gas stove, and bedroom with a king bed. Wilson Ranch is on the Methow Community Trail for Nordic skiing, mountain biking and hiking. Washington Pass and the North Cascades’ hiking trails are a short drive. Easy Winters is a one bedroom cabin located on the Wilson Ranch property set at the edge of the forest wilderness. The wood panelled living room features a fold out couch, easy chair, dining table for 6, wide screen TV, gas stove and wood floors. The carpeted bedroom has a king bed and corner windows with views of the forest. The galley kitchen is located off the entryway and has an electric stove with oven, under counter refrigerator, microwave, sink and coffee maker. There is a compact bathroom with a shower. A small deck is equipped with a propane BBQ grill and a pair of adirondack chairs with a picnic table nearby. This cozy cabin makes a great Mazama basecamp for up to four guests. The North Cascade Heli Skiing operation is also located on the Wilson Ranch property making this cabin a convenient option for heli-skiers (do expect to see and hear helicopter take off and landings during ski season). The Methow Community Trail passes through Wilson Ranch providing access to the upper valley nordic ski and mountain bike trail system (including Jacks, and River Run trails) as well as a connection to the Mazama trailhead hub with more trail options. The cabin has high speed Starlink wifi internet. MAZAMA Wilson Ranch is located 2 miles (10 minute bike ride) from the Mazama Store and the Methow Trails trailhead (for great hiking, mountain biking and cross-country ski trail options). In addition to the store with its great bakery and grocery, Mazama is home to the Goat’s Beard outdoor store (with mountain bike and fat bike rentals), the Mazama Ski School for cross country ski hire and lessons and the Mazama Public House. Please be aware that the Sandy Butte Bistro at the nearby Freestone Inn is not currently operating, and Jack's Hut may or may not be open on a very limited basis. NORTH CASCADES NATIONAL PARK The Wilson Ranch cabins are also conveniently situated for easy access to the North Cascades and the trailheads to many of the Park's world-class hiking trails. It’s under 20 minutes drive to the Cutthroat Lake trailhead, 25 minutes to Washington Pass and 30 minutes to Maple Pass trailhead. Great for beating the crowds and snagging a trailhead parking spot at peak seasons. Easy Winters is a privately owned studio cabin located on the Wilson Ranch property. Guests have access to the seasonal pool and hot tub at The Freestone Inn; guests do not currently have access the The Freestone Inn main lodge unless dining (if open). This cabin can sleep 4 guests. The sleeping arrangements are a king bed in the bedroom, and a queen sized fold-out couch in the living room. The cabin has high speed Starlink wifi internet. Heating is provided by wall heaters and the gas stove. There is a window mounted air-conditioner provided during the summer. Pets are not allowed. For winter stays a local snow plowing service takes care of the Wilson Ranch roads. Please be patient after snow storms as they have many properties to clear.
