Now is the time to plan your spring and summer trips to Lake Tahoe-beautiful place to visit every season. If you don't want to deal with the crowds book midweek, discounts are in place. If you leave at the right time it is 20 minutes to the lodge at Sierra At Tahoe. This upgraded Chalet is nestled on a quiet county lot surrounded by tall pines. This is the perfect blend of modern upgrades and classic Tahoe chalet charm. A very clever remodel expanded this traditional chalet into a roomy home perfect for families looking for a Tahoe retreat. Enter through the covered front porch into a spacious great room, take in the beautiful views and make yourself at home. The entry level features a great room with gas fireplace, dining area and remodeled, well-equipped kitchen. Open beams, pine ceilings and wood floors enhance the woodsy Tahoe chalet style. Two bedrooms and full bath are located on the first floor. Upstairs there is a peaceful sitting room with fantastic views of the backyard, mountains and vistas. The primary, largest bedroom (with private bath) is a wonderful spot to relax. The upstairs sitting area can be accessed by a spiral staircase from the living room, or the “bridge” from the other wing. The sitting area has beautiful views of the wooded lot and the mountains in the past. In addition, in a separate wing there is a bedroom with vaulted ceilings and another small loft area with a double bed and single futon. The backyard is a great place for the kids to play and the chalet is just down the block from miles of Forest Trails, walk to Osgood Swamp (great wildflowers in the spring) miles of trails for hiking. This is a great location for those that love mountain biking, cross country skiing and snow shoeing. It is a short drive to fishing and boating at Echo Lake, the beaches along Highway 89 (Camp Richardson, Pope Beach, Baldwin Beach). One of our favorite walks is exploring the Kiva and Valhalla Historic Sites. 20 minutes to Sierra At Tahoe, 20 minutes to Heavenly (depending on traffic and weather of course). This home does not have air conditioning. There is an EV PLUG in the garage, NEMA 14-50 Guests must bring their own portable EV charger to plug in El Dorado County Vacation Rental Permit # 073087 TOT # 63472 Maximum Occupancy: 8 Occupancy does not include children under 5, occupancy numbers are enforced 24/7. Quiet Hours are 10:00pm-8:00am Maximum # of Vehicles: 3 vehicles must be parked in garage or driveway, no street or dirt parking allowed. Guest of record must be 25 years of age. Note for all reservations: While staying here, please make sure to follow local ordinances (noise/maximum occupancy and maximum vehicles on site)We also require a signed rental agreement for every reservation and the person signing must be 25 years of age, must be staying at the property and have a copy of the signed rental agreement with them during their stay. When traveling to Tahoe in the winter be prepared for winter driving, possible road closures and delays in snow removal. You are booking a trip to the mountains so come prepared. Our snow removal crews work every day, but we have no control over the county road snow plows that clear the roads. 4WD and or chains are always recommended. If you come in a small, low profile vehicle you may have difficulties. Tahoe has experiences frequent power outages during snow, rain, wind events. We provide lanterns, but sometimes they disappear (or batteries vanish)
