Mabel is our sweet and perfectly formed cabin offering a serene retreat in the Noosa hinterland. She is stylish, but unfussy and classy, without any pretension. A short 15 minute drive away from Noosa, but set amongst tropical rainforest and nature reserves.
About the Home
The layout is open-plan and light filled with an expansive living and dining area , complete with a 55 inch Samsung TV and Sony soundbar, all set under a beautifully pitched and beamed 11 metre ceiling. A soaring wall of glass (with remote controlled blinds) stretches 6 metres high framing views of the neighbouring nature reserve where you can watch kangaroos and local wildlife idle by. A separate reading den provides another break-out area for those wanting some down time.
Over-sized sliding doors allow you to step out to the poolside patio where you can enjoy a G&T by the glistening saltwater pool (heated during the winter months) and drink in views out to the golf course and beyond. A family-sized Weber BBQ means alfresco dinners and sunset cocktails await you in this incredible entertainer’s oasis.
The inner chef will delight in the stainless steel Smeg appliances and a kitchen well-stocked with all manner of conveniences including a rice-cooker, sandwich press and espresso coffee machine. You can enjoy your coffee on the side deck (built from salvaged wood off the old Noosa jetty!) while your baked goods cook in the oven.
The generous, air-conditioned, master bedroom (king size bed) is on this level, complete with a study nook, robes and a luxurious ensuite that features a shower with seat and a two-way powder room (shared with the living area).
Up the original sleek black spiral staircase lies four additional bedrooms (3 bedrooms with queen beds and 1 bedroom with two single beds), all with built in robes and a large bathroom with a bath and shower. This mezzanine level also features a play area with bean bags, board games, children's books and a tepee.
Outside, you can gather around the fire pit while the kids play in the cubby or horse around on the rope swing while you sit back and listen to the soothing sounds of the meandering creek running through the property.
Please Note: For safety purposes, open fires in the outdoor fire pits are not permitted between the months of November and March. The pool is not heated between the months of November and May.
A large external laundry provides you access with a front loading washing machine and dryer and a driveway that provides ample parking for multiple cars. Two reverse cycle Air Conditioning units are available, downstairs and on the Mezzanine level, plus ceiling fans throughout.
Good to know
Please be aware that a creek runs through the property and small children and non-swimmers need to be supervised on the property at all times. The deck itself is fenced in and secure.
Guests must comply with the Local Council code of conduct, and the general house rules.
Pet friendly - We are happy to welcome one dog per booking, we have a $50 pet fee per stay - please ask before booking.
This is a rural property on tank water - power outages in this area are not uncommon during bad weather due to fallen power lines. Electricity and water supply can be affected, which is beyond our control.
The pool is heated during the winter months 1st June to 1st October.

House Rules and Terms
As a Superhost, we aim to make your stay as comfortable as it can possibly be! Our mission is to help our guests create beautiful family memories in our cozy home, whilst keeping neighbors happy and the home in great condition for all our guests. We would truly appreciate it if you could accept our house rules, and thank you in advance for your cooperation!
Please refrain from rearranging the furniture.
Please no loud music, especially after 9pm. Please be respectful not to disturb residents of nearby properties.
Excessive cleaning costs will be charged to the guests if the house is not left in a neat and tidy condition.
Upon departure the BBQ is to be cleaned please, if used. An additional charge of $40 will be applied if it is left dirty.
The number of occupants must not exceed the number agreed to at the time of the booking. If you wish to have additional guests please contact us for approval (maximum 8 guests).
The owner will not be responsible for any injury suffered to a guest, or visitors of a guest.
Check in time is 3pm and check out time is 10am.
All guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian
Children and infants must be under active supervision by a parent or guardian, at all times. All responsibility and duty of care for them must be provided by you.
We want you to enjoy the pool area, but to avoid injury, please no bombing or running. Children are not allowed in the gated swimming pool area without an adult actively supervising in the space for safety. No drinking glasses or bottles are to be taken into the pool area - only plastic items allowed.
If you leave property behind on departure, we are happy to send it back to you for a minimum charge of $25 covering postage and our time to retrieve and send the items.
Whilst we do our very best to present the home and it’s contents in great condition, appliances and other household items sometimes break. Please let us know if something is not working as expected and we will do our best to have it fixed as soon as possible. No refund will be given.
Any sports equipment, baby equipment or toys supplied are there for your enjoyment but used at your own risk. The host cannot be held liable for any injuries sustained from using the equipment.
This accommodation is for residential purposes only, functions or parties (big or small) are strictly not permitted and penalties apply.
Strictly no schoolies or groups.
We reserve the right to decline reservations that we do not feel comfortable with.
Pets
Dogs are a part of the family. This home welcomes one dog only per booking, but please keep your dog off the furniture
Please no dogs in the swimming pool
There are families living close by - loud or aggressive dogs will not be tolerated
Please avoid leaving your dog unattended at the house
Please pick up any dog droppings and put them in the outside bin, securely bagged, and clean up excessive hair if your dog sheds
We want to keep this holiday home pet friendly, please do the right thing so others can enjoy holidaying with their pet too. Thank you!
Cleaning: The cleaning is provided by a commercial cleaning company and they provide a cleanliness guarantee. Their contact details are advertised in the accommodation. If the cleanliness is not to your expectation please contact the provider directly, they will rectify any reasonable issues.
Please keep in mind that we are dealing with labour shortages and high costs of living just as the rest of the country. Please know we do our very best to provide beautiful, clean spaces to our guests, but we have a constant turnover of staff and they are not always perfect. So if there has been a small oversight, please forgive us, but major issues will be addressed.
NO refund will be provided as we offer a cleanliness guarantee. In the event that the cleaning company is unresponsive please contact us via the Airbnb app and we will assist.
Noise and other issues outside our control: You are holidaying in a residential area and surrounding buildings or units might have noisy maintenance or construction at times. This is completely beyond our control, and no refund will be provided if this occurs.
