Built in 1972 and recently updated, this cosy haven brings a touch of 70s spirit back to life, offering a truly authentic beachside experience. Just a few steps from the iconic Four Mile Beach, the house sits in a peaceful location with no rear neighbours, backing onto Four Mile Park and playground for serene connection with the beach.

About the Home

Inside, the home is thoughtfully designed with two comfortable queen bedrooms, a combined lounge and kitchen, and a refreshing rain shower in the bathroom. The space invites you to unwind with a cool ocean breeze on the front patio or enjoy the soothing sounds of the waves from the large grassed backyard, where you can cook up a holiday barbecue on the Weber Baby Q. Just a 10-minute drive or taxi ride to town—or a 45-minute walk along the shore—The Tides offers a seamless blend of comfort and coastal charm. With beach access from both the front and rear, it's the perfect spot to fully embrace the relaxed pace of Port Douglas.

Good to know

✔ Minimum Age: The primary guest must be 25+ to book. ✔ ID Requirement: After booking, you'll receive a secure link to upload your photo ID for verification. We kindly ask that noise and music be kept to a minimum after 9:00 PM. Smoking is not permitted in the property. We're unable to offer luggage storage before check-in or after check-out. We recommend planning accordingly or using local storage services if needed. A starter pack of essentials is provided, including tea, coffee, toiletries, and basic supplies. For longer stays, guests may wish to top up items as needed. Mid-Stay Cleans Daily cleaning isn't included, allowing you to enjoy full privacy. Mid-stay cleans are available on request for an additional fee, ideal for longer stays. For stays longer than 14 nights, a mid-stay clean and linen change are mandatory to help maintain the property. An additional fee of $189 per service applies.

If the home is left in an unreasonable state, excess cleaning fees may apply. ✔ Respect the Peace: This is a tranquil retreat within a peaceful community. No loud noise or parties. Quiet hours are 10 PM – 8 AM. ✔ No Pets: Pets are not permitted anywhere on the property. ✔ No Smoking: Smoking is strictly prohibited, including all outdoor areas. We appreciate your cooperation in keeping this space peaceful and welcoming for all guests.
