To help you settle in, we provide a selection of basic starter amenities for your first day. The Icon enjoys an unbeatable location for exploring Cape Town. The V&A Waterfront is approximately a 15-minute walk away, while the building is positioned at the start of the famous Long Street, known for its restaurants, cafés, bars and vibrant nightlife. The CTICC (Cape Town International Convention Centre) is only a short walk away, making the apartment particularly convenient for conference delegates and business travellers. Both MyCiTi buses and City Sightseeing hop-on hop-off buses are easily accessible from the area, allowing you to explore Cape Town without a car. The nearby N1 and N2 highways provide easy access for day trips to the Cape Winelands, Cape Peninsula and the many attractions surrounding Cape Town. Please note: The Icon is a strictly non-smoking building. Smoking and vaping are prohibited anywhere within the building. Building management may impose a R2,000 fine for any violation of this rule.

Guest Access

Guests have exclusive use of the entire apartment as well as one secure parking bay within the building. You will also have full access to The Icon’s excellent communal facilities, including a large, well-equipped gym, swimming pool and sun deck. The MyCiTi bus stop is located directly outside The Icon, making it exceptionally easy to get around Cape Town.

Guest Registration

Please note that will need a copy of all guests' ID/Passport and VISA documents via AirBnB for registration purposes 48 hours from making the booking.

This building does allow self check-in. If you would like a personal check in, here are the fees

After 18:00: A late check-in fee of ZAR 250 applies. After 22:00: A late check-in fee of ZAR 450 applies.

Our apartments are located in residential buildings with permanent residents. Please respect the community and building rules

No loud noise after 20:00, and complete quiet is expected after 22:00. Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the unit and within the building. Violation may result in a fine of up to ZAR 2,000 and possible immediate eviction. A maximum of two people, including visitors, are allowed in the apartment at any time. No overnight guests are permitted unless they are listed on the original booking.

Check-In Documentation

Upon arrival, all guests must sign a check-in form confirming acceptance of these house rules.

Cleaning Services

Complimentary cleaning is only included for stays longer than 7 nights.

Electricity Usage (Long Stays)

For bookings of 28 nights or more, electricity is included up to ZAR 500 per month. Any usage beyond this limit will be billed to the guest.
