Camps Bay Forest House Sea/Mountain views
This rustic Camps Bay villa has the feel of a island resort. A massive deck which protrudes out from the open plan lounge and bedrooms with fully retractable doors so that you feel completely at one with the ocean, mountains and sky. The exquisite deck encircles a large swimming pool where you can find koi fish and turtle ponds along side it. One of the best outside areas I have come across for serenity and views. I would be surprised to find better all round views in camps bay. This in not a luxury villa but rather a home.
About the Home
There is also a small gym area on the deck (Cycle machine etc) We have a bird avery at the back of the house but no bedroom windows lead directly onto, so do not worry about their tweets. You may see Brusco pottering around, who lives in the bachelor pad downstairs, behind the parking area. He keeps the gardens in order and makes sure the fish and birds are fed.
Good to know
No loud noise during the week and after 20:00 on weekends, this is a family neighbourhood and must be kept quiet and tranquil for all. This apartment has hotel quality linens and is self-catering but we do provide basics (tea, coffee, milk etc) Guests staying 8 nights or longer will receive one complimentary clean with a linen & towel replacement You are welcome to make use of the pool on the property - however please be sure that you put the cover back on after use. While South Africa can experience loadshedding at times, in the event of this happening the house has been equipped to ensure that all lights, fridges, internet, and the TV will remain on. The geyser and stove would not be functional but we do have an outdoor braai and there is a supply of hot water for basic use. This is a self catering unit, but we do provide the basics (tea, coffee, milk, sugar). We have hotel quality linens. Stays of 8 nights or longer will receive complimentary changeovers. Housekeeping will happen weekly for longer stays. ID will be required ahead of check-in to ensure a smooth check-in process
The Neighborhood
One of the most vibrant and popular suburbs in Cape Town, Camps Bay lies just beyond the four beaches of Clifton in an exceptionally beautiful setting amongst the Twelve Apostles and Lion’s Head, on the other side of Table Mountain. The beachfront of Camps Bay is a long stretch of white, palm tree-lined sand and along its length is a boulevard that forms part of a series of pavement cafes, bistros and restaurants specialising in Mediterranean fare that has earned Camps Bay its trendy and cosmopolitan character. It hums all day and in particular at night when Cape Town’s trendier set come out to play. Homes in Camps Bay fetch a few cool million with ease and staying in the much sought after suburb has become something of a practice for many visitors, who return again and again to soak up the sun and mingle with the pavement culture. Homes up in the reaches of Lion’s Head offer fantastic views over the Atlantic and the bay is relatively calm during the summer months offering protection from the wind and pleasant swimming conditions. The Table Mountain cableway is only minutes away from Camps Bay, over Kloof Nek, as is the city centre with bohemian Long Street, trendy Kloof Street and the many museums and galleries that make a good day’s trawling worthwhile. Otherwise Clifton’s four beaches offer some rare people-watching opportunities and the lawn overlooking 4th beach is a popular paragliding landing spot. A huge variety of guest houses, hotels, bed & breakfasts and self catering options makes Camps Bay the ideal base for visitors to Cape Town.
Guest Access
The whole house, deck and pool area are for your use exclusively. There are 2 parking bays available for your use and electric gate entry to the property. You will need to climb a set of stairs up to the main house from the parking bays. No events can be held on the property. Max number of extra day visitors is 6. Strictly no noisy or loud music. Parties are strictly prohibited.
