About the Home

Building: Brightly painted Victorian double story house with traditional oregan pine floors and sash windows. Artwork: The art that decorates the house is produced by ceramicist Joanna Tomkins who used to own in this house. Petru Naomi Lötter has decorated the walls with local sunbirds and proteas. She is a famous muralist and fine artists whose works of Art are scattered around the walls of the Mother City. PLEASE NOTE : We do not currently have a TV

Good to know

This is a self catering unit, but we do provide the basics (tea, coffee, milk, sugar). We have hotel quality linens (300 Thread Count). Stays of 8 nights or longer will receive complimentary mid-stay cleans and fresh linens. For stays longer than 5 weeks you will need to provide your own linens. ID will be required ahead of check-in to ensure a smooth check-in process

The Neighborhood

Bo-Kaap is known for its brightly coloured homes and cobblestoned streets. The area is traditionally a multicultural neighbourhood, and 56.9% of its population identify as Muslim.[2] According to the South African Heritage Resources Agency, the area contains the largest concentration of pre-1850 architecture in South Africa, and is the oldest surviving residential neighborhood in Cape Town.[3]
