Enjoy coffee in the morning or cocktails in the afternoon under our cool 'palapa' while listening to Howler monkeys play nearby. Villa Mariposa is your fantasy vacation that promises to rejuvenate and recharge your soul! There is something for every family member in Tamarindo. You can begin your day with a relaxing stroll along the beach or 18 holes of golf at one of two nearby courses. Eat a tasty lunch at any of the numerous restaurants then take an eco-tour, go horseback riding or better yet, a surfing lesson! There is shopping to please everyone's' taste or for the adventure lover, a canopy tour or a visit to the active volcano Arenal. Don't miss the chance to watch leatherback sea turtles hatch at Las Baulas National Marine Park, a little over 10 miles north.

Buses run through town connecting with nearby towns and the country`s two major airports, and there are shuttle services that provide direct, air-conditioned trips to most major destinations within the country. Tamarindo also boasts a small airport, with two airlines offering multiple daily flights across Costa Rica. Car rental companies are numerous, but it`s recommended to book in advance during high season.
