Scottsdale

Scottsdale is a city of about 244,000 on the eastern edge of the Phoenix metro in the Sonoran Desert. It has roughly 300 sunny days a year, 15 Major League Baseball teams sharing 10 Cactus League ballparks in the Valley of the Sun each spring, the 30,000-acre McDowell Sonoran Preserve, and Taliesin West, Frank Lloyd Wright's winter campus and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Camelback Mountain, the skyline landmark, sits just southwest of the city in Phoenix and Paradise Valley. It is the most developed resort market in the Southwest and one of the busiest spring destinations in the country.
