This beautiful quintessential English country house, set at the end of a private road is the perfect retreat for friends and family. The house has 2 fireplaces for cosy nights-in, set in 20 acres of manicured gardens. Heated swimming pool is available April - September. Our home has been thoughtfully modernised to maintain the original features & charm, with space for everyone, comfortably sleeping 10-12 in 6 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms (2 ensuite). Enter the house into a bright modern dual aspect kitchen diner. This large space has lots of surfaces for food prep with a kitchen island at the centre and a separate breakfast table. Featuring a gas hob, oven with separate grill, Nespresso pod coffee machine, microwave, dishwasher, double fridge, TV (including Sky Sports across all TVs) and fully equipped with all your cookery needs. Next door there’s a separate boot room and utility with washing machine, dryer, and fridge freezer. From the kitchen there are French doors leading to a pretty patio area for outside dining (weather permitting), or watching the tennis across the lawn. Back in the house there’s a cosy snug with TV and wood burning stove, adjoined by the kids playroom inclusive of toys for kids from 2-10 years of age. There’s a traditionally panelled formal dining room which extends to seat up to 16 and a large triple aspect lounge with French windows with stunning views over the fields where the sun sets, perfect for evening drinks around the fire pit. The lounge has ample seating, open fire and fully stocked with board games to wind the evenings away. Upstairs all the bedrooms deliver unspoilt views across the countryside. The light filled master king bedroom has an underfloor heated ensuite bathroom with bath, shower and includes his & hers sinks. At the other end of the landing is a further large double bedroom with its own ensuite. And there are a further three bedrooms, a pretty twin bedroom and two good sized single bedrooms that share a family bathroom (underfloor heating). Slightly separate from the main house is the office and sixth bedroom. This space can sleep four, it includes a double sofa bed, plus a mezzanine floor with double bed. This space is great for families wanting to be together and has access to the downstairs shower room. Please note bi-weekly pool maintenance does occur to manage chlorine levels and may partially impact by a few hours if re-balancing is required. Trains from London Charing Cross, London Cannon Street and London Bridge stations direct to Headcorn depart twice per hour and takes approximately 1hr. HS1 trains from London St Pancras to Headcorn, with 1 change in Ashford, departs twice per hour and takes just over 1hr. Taxi from Headcorn: Journey time is under 10 mins.
