As soon as you step into Chalet Lagunak, you’ll be welcomed by a warm atmosphere where rustic wood and contemporary touches come together to create a true cozy retreat. The living room is perfect for relaxing evenings, featuring a 51-inch TV where you can connect your Netflix, Crave, or Disney+ accounts. A selection of board games and books is also available for quality moments with loved ones.

The kitchen includes everything you need: a coffee machine, Keurig, kettle, toaster, and all necessary cookware, perfect for preparing a hearty brunch, enjoying a drink on the terrace, or sharing a friendly dinner indoors. And for barbecue lovers: a grill awaits you outside!

The chalet features two cozy bedrooms with Queen beds, plus an open mezzanine with an additional Queen bed and a hammock for napping or reading. A crib with mattress and bedding is available upon request for the little ones.

A large shower, soft towels, toiletries : everything is provided to make your stay easy and pleasant, even after a full day of outdoor activities.

In the evening, gather around the firepit for magical moments under the stars. The spacious 4-hectare forested lot is perfect for letting kids or pets roam freely—or simply to reconnect with nature.

We’re happy to welcome families with babies and children! However, please note that the chalet is not fully babyproofed — there are no stair gates or outlet covers, for example.

We provide baby-specific equipment such as a high chair, convertible crib/playpen with sheets, toys, and books.
🪵 Firewood:
You can purchase two bundles (kindling and fire starters included), ideal for a weekend stay.
If you’d like more, please order at least one week before arrival so we can prepare it near the chalet. This is highly recommended for stays longer than 3 nights.
You may also purchase firewood in Mandeville or St-Gabriel, but you’ll get less for a higher price — and don’t forget to buy kindling and fire starters too, which adds cost and time.

Up to 2 pets allowed.
Waste bags are provided in case you forget yours.
Pets are not allowed on the mezzanine to prevent them from accessing beds and are not permitted on the ground floor sofa.
Please bring their own bed, as we do not provide one.
Two food/water bowls are available.
Any violation of indoor/outdoor pet rules may result in extra charges in addition to the pet fee (see House Rules).
🤧 Allergies:
If you’re allergic to pets, note that animals may occasionally stay in the chalet. You book with this awareness. That said, we do our best to thoroughly clean and reduce allergens between stays.
❄️ Air Conditioning:
A portable A/C unit is available upstairs from June to September in case of a heatwave. Otherwise, the classic nature-approved method works wonders 👇
The chalet is nestled in peaceful mature forest, offering naturally cooler nights. We recommend opening the windows (with screens in place) to create a mountain breeze that will refresh the chalet overnight.

No additional guests are allowed. The base price covers up to six people. Camping is not permitted.
🪣 🧹 Cleaning:
The space must be left as clean as it was upon arrival. We’ll handle laundry, but extra cleaning fees may apply if the chalet is left in poor condition.

House Rules and Terms
This Short-Term Rental Agreement (hereinafter referred to as the "Agreement") is made effective as of the date of confirmed booking by and between the Property Owner/Operator (the "Owner") and the Traveler (collectively, the "Parties").
Payment Terms
For bookings made on Airbnb, please refer to their website.
For all other platforms, the total amount will be charged 7 days before your arrival. No refunds or date changes will be granted after this date.
Security Deposit
For Airbnb bookings, please refer to their service policies.
For other platforms, a security deposit may be required. It will be refunded within 7 days after the end of your stay and after property inspection. In case of minor or major damages, an amount equivalent to the value of the damages will be deducted.
Check-In Form
You will need to fill out a check-in form to finalize your booking. A link will be sent to you after your reservation.
> Airbnb Reservation For all new Airbnb travelers with less than 3 reviews, you must send us via Airbnb messaging:
- a photo of your ID with a clearly readable photo and name
AND
- a selfie of your face clearly visible with the same ID next to your face
If you do not send these photos, your reservation will be canceled without a refund.
> Non-Airbnb Reservation: You will need to provide a copy of your driver's license and the credit card used for your stay. This allows us to confirm your identity and prevent fraudulent transactions. This information will be deleted 14 days after check-out if no damages are reported.
Liability
By accepting these Terms and Conditions, as acknowledged by all Airbnb bookings and/or by signing below, the Traveler waives, releases, and agrees to hold the Owner harmless from any damage, accident, or injury that may occur during the stay, that may be related to or resulting from staying at the property, to them and all visitors and persons directly or indirectly associated with the Traveler during the stay.
Lost Items
The Traveler waives, releases, and agrees to hold the Owner harmless from any breakage, loss, disappearance, or theft of valuables, money, or jewelry belonging to the Traveler or to any visitors and persons directly or indirectly associated with the Traveler during the stay.
Property Access
If necessary and with reasonable notice, the Traveler authorizes the Owner or any person designated by the Owner to access the property during the stay. In case urgent repair or problem needs to be addressed quickly and you cannot be reached, the Owner and/or their designees may enter the property without prior notice.
Additional conditions such as rates and fees, check-in/check-out times, cancellations, minimum stay, maximum number of authorized guests, outdoor fires, security deposit, etc. will be in accordance with the house rules or booking policies provided separately by the Owner.
For security reasons, our property is equipped with exterior cameras pointing only towards the path leading to the chalet.
House Rules
1. The Traveler agrees to comply with all local rules, regulations, and laws.
2.1 The guest must provide their full name, a valid phone number, an email address, and be reachable during normal business hours prior to the start of the stay.
2.2 As a professional host using a channel manager, an external link will be sent to give you access to the digital guide and to confirm your contact details as described in 2.1.
2.3 In addition to the information described in 2.1, as a professional host using a channel manager, an external link will be sent to verify your identity (for bookings outside Airbnb).
3.1 The number of persons must not exceed the maximum capacity of the chalet unless previously agreed with the Owner. The booking must be made for a maximum of 6 persons. No undeclared guest may stay in the chalet. The identity of guests may be verified during the stay.
3.2 You must provide the full name of each guest, a valid phone number, as well as their relationship to you (for bookings outside Airbnb).
4. Access to the property will be given only to the Traveler responsible for the booking and those declared. Therefore, they must provide proof of identity on-site and possess the credit card used for the booking.
5. The guest must behave respectfully and demonstrate good neighborliness by respecting the rights and quiet of surrounding owners. In case of complaints, a penalty of $400 will be applied.
6. The quiet hours required by the municipality are from 10 PM to 7 AM.

b/ Outdoor wood fires are prohibited. Obligation to use the outdoor fireplace. In case of violation of this municipal rule, you will be held responsible and will have to pay all fines we receive due to your non-compliance.
10. If the number of guests exceeds the booking without informing the Owner, a fee of $200 per person per day will automatically apply. The maximum capacity (6) of the chalet cannot be exceeded.
11. The house is non-smoking, which includes: cigarettes, cigars, cigarillos, electronic cigarettes, shisha, cannabis, etc. In case of default or odor in the accommodation, an automatic penalty of $300 CAD will be charged.
12. Pets may be accepted under certain conditions of the Owner and decided on a case-by-case basis.
If accepted, an additional fee of CAD $100 + taxes will apply (for bookings outside Airbnb).
In case of default, an automatic penalty of $250 CAD will be charged.
In case of non-compliance with cleanliness guidelines (e.g., hair on beds, sofa, droppings on the outdoor area, etc.), a penalty of $250 CAD will be imposed.
13. The Traveler agrees not to use the property for commercial purposes or sublet the property.
14. The Traveler responsible for the booking must inform other guests of the house rules. They are also responsible for the premises inside and outside and will be held accountable for costs caused by damage, additional cleaning, or abuse by them or their guests.
15. The Owner may refuse access to the property, terminate the contract, and impose immediate departure if they reasonably believe that the guest or any member of their group will behave illegally or that damage is likely to be caused, is caused, or will be caused due to their behavior.
16. Parking is limited to designated parking areas (3). No camping will be accepted.
17. The Traveler must not organize events (such as celebrations, parties, meetings, etc.) on the property without prior written consent from the Owner.
18. The Traveler must not make any alterations to the property without prior written consent from the Owner.
19. If the Traveler or a member of their group exceeds the scheduled check-out time, a fee of $50 for every 30 minutes started will be charged.
Note: For an additional fee, an "extra time or Late check out" can be purchased 24 hours or more before the end of the stay to leave later (in the afternoon or evening - time to be agreed in advance). This extra must be paid at the time of request to the Owner (subject to availability).
20. The Traveler is responsible for ensuring that check-out instructions are followed. They will be sent to you 24 hours before departure and/or in the house guide available on-site.
21. In case of a problem with the property, or any malfunction of an appliance, you must notify us immediately and grant us access to the property to allow us to observe and resolve the problem within a reasonable time (if urgent only), otherwise, this cannot serve as a basis to justify any corresponding future claim.
22. Use of Electric Vehicle Charging Outlet
The use of exterior outlets for charging electric vehicles is strictly prohibited without the prior written authorization of the owner. Any unauthorized use of the charging outlet will result in a fee of $100 CAD plus taxes per reservation. The traveler will also be held responsible for any damage caused to the outlet or the electrical installations of the property due to unauthorized use.
23. Firewood is provided in a small quantity for the first night. It is possible to purchase twice the amount offered, including kindling and fire starters, directly on-site via Airbnb or an external payment platform. In the event of any violations in the firewood storage area, a fee of CAD $100 will be charged per damaged storage space for theft.
24. Any violation of these rules by the Traveler or a member of their group will be grounds for immediate termination of this rental agreement without the possibility of a refund, and the Owner cannot be held responsible for any resulting damage.
