The historical Lagkadia of Arcadia is located in the center of the Peloponnese, and is built at an altitude of 800m. A picturesque town with stone, impressive houses, built amphitheatrically on a slope. The area has developed touristically with taverns and restaurants with perfect traditional cuisine. Walnut trees, plane trees and running water make up a unique landscape. Lagkadia is dominated by the watery paradise of Lake Ladona (30km) where you can do many activities such as kayaking while the whole area is suitable for many sports such as hiking, hunting, mountaineering, 4X4 as well as skiing at the Mainalo ski resort (35km). Going North you will find the Ancient Fortress (25km). An excellent destination is the Open air Hydrokinesis (water power) Museum just 25 km to the south.
