From sunrise over the Gulf to boats drifting through San Luis Pass and the bridge stretching across the horizon, this home delivers a constant, cinematic backdrop. Inside, sunlight pours through walls of windows, wrapping every space in that easy, breezy coastal glow. With 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, and a relaxed-yet-refined beach aesthetic, it’s the kind of place where mornings start with coffee and pelicans, and evenings end with sky-painted sunsets you won’t quite believe. The living area is designed for gathering, with comfortable seating and a laid-back coastal palette that keeps things fresh without trying too hard. The kitchen flows easily into the space, making it perfect for slow breakfasts, snack runs between beach trips, or sunset dinners with a view that does most of the talking. Mar 2026 Note: the long stretch of beach and main access point is in the neighborhood at the end of Buccaneer and is enjoyable for all beach and water activities. The small beach area you see in front of the house is great for shelling, sunning, fishing and general beach activities, but the state of TX does not allow swimming. TREASURE ISLAND: The 979 Crew just loves this seaside and bayside community flanked by Galveston Island on one end and Surfside Beach on the other. On your drive, stop by the grocery store for your favorite grillables and beverages, make a pit stop at the bait shop to fill your bait bucket (great fishing in TI), and/or place a call to make arrangements to rent a golf cart - this is a very golf cart friendly spot. Enjoy the Gulfside's uncrowded pedestrian beach (no cars allowed for 300 yards but golf carts welcomed) where you can setup your group's camp for the day on the beach to build sandcastles, jump in the surf, find unique shells and sand dollars, boogie board, shore & surf fish and build an evening bonfire. Or if preferred, utilize the available launch for your boat or kayak or head to the fishing pier on the bayside. Some much to do so little time! In addition, all of our homes feature luxury hotel-quality/high thread count on all sheets, bedding, and bath towels which are replaced upon every turnover including the duvet covers and shams (we've heard not every company does this, and we think that's just gross). We take clean seriously! When you rent a 979 home, you'll also receive the 'comforts of home' guest welcome starter supply of shampoo, shower gel, conditioner, tp and paper towels, dishwasher and clothes washer pods. We want your stay to be as easy as you do, and the 979 Crew aims to deliver on that commitment. We love our island guests! 🐾 PUP-FRIENDLY: Bring Fido(s)! We welcome your furry friends (aka family members). Up to 2 well-behaved dogs are allowed at this home, subject to approval and a non-refundable pet fee of $100 per dog per stay. WIFI/TV SERVICE: Our properties include WIFI/Internet and TV service for your streaming services. Due to our location (Island living is a whole other way of life), service may be unpredictable or spotty, and repair times can be delayed. While we will do everything we can to ensure these items are in good working order before your arrival, please note, these services may not be as consistent as they are in your area. So grab your favorite people, ditch the electronics, and spend the day at our beautiful beaches! 979 VACATION PROPERTY SERVICES: All 979 rental home follow local and state tax rules. Reservations may be booked up to 365 days in advance. Please send inquiry and details if more than a year out as rates and availability may not be updated. Each reservation includes applicable taxes, a cleaning fee, $1M liability protection and $10K damage insurance - and good news, No Security Deposit Required! CANCELLATION POLICY: When booking direct with 979, you may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund. Some exceptions may apply for last-minute reservations. After 24 hours, cancel at least 30 days before your check-in and receive a refund in your original form of payment less a $50 cancellation fee. Cancellations within 30 days of check-in are non-refundable. Reservations made on 3rd party channels/OTAs such as Airbnb, VRBO, Booking, Hopper etc may be subject to terms and conditions which may be different than 979's. When booking through a 3rd party channel, the cancellation policy you agreed to at the time of booking is the cancellation policy on your reservation.
