This expansive beachfront estate was thoughtfully designed to accommodate large groups while still providing privacy and comfort throughout the property. The home features six spacious bedrooms, each with its own private ensuite bathroom. Sleeping Arrangements: • Two private master suites are located in their own separate sister cottages, offering a quiet and secluded retreat. Each master suite features a king bed and a private ensuite bathroom. • Four additional bedrooms are located within the main home. Each of these bedrooms includes two queen beds and a private ensuite bathroom, making the layout ideal for large families, multiple couples, or group stays. The main house centers around a large open-concept living space that seamlessly connects the kitchen, dining, and living areas. The living room features an oversized sectional with ample seating for gathering together, watching movies, or relaxing after a day on the beach. The dining area includes two large dining tables, creating plenty of space for shared meals and entertaining.

Daufuskie Island is only accessible by ferry or private boat, which is part of what makes the island such a unique and peaceful destination. There are no bridges connecting the island to the mainland, creating a quiet, secluded atmosphere unlike most beach communities. We recommend guests use the private ferry service through Island Head for transportation to and from the island. Ferry reservations should be coordinated in advance prior to arrival. Island Head Ferry Guests staying at the property will also have access to the amenities at the Melrose Resort, including the resort swimming pool and fitness center/gym. This gives guests the opportunity to enjoy both the privacy of a large beachfront estate and the convenience of resort-style amenities during their stay.

The neighborhood is ideal for morning walks on the beach, sunset views, fishing, shell collecting, and simply slowing down and enjoying the island lifestyle. Daufuskie Island itself is only accessible by ferry, which adds to its unique charm and privacy. Golf carts are the primary mode of transportation, giving the island a laid-back and welcoming atmosphere unlike anywhere else on the South Carolina coast.

Guests will have exclusive access to the entire beachfront estate for the duration of their stay, including the main home, both private sister cottage master suites, all outdoor spaces, and direct beach access. The property was designed to comfortably accommodate large groups while still offering privacy throughout the layout. Guests will have access to all six bedrooms, each with its own private ensuite bathroom, as well as the expansive open-concept living and dining areas, fully equipped kitchen, oversized sectional living room, and the large oceanfront porch overlooking the beach and Atlantic Ocean.
