In the museum and the landscape garden, you’ll learn a lot about the Walcherse dunes; you can climb the motte for the view and continue on to Westhove Castle and the dune forest. Plan a walk in the Oranjezon nature reserve. Follow the marked route through dune valleys and coniferous woodland; in the early morning or at sunset, you’ll have a good chance of spotting fallow deer and Konik horses. Binoculars come in handy.
