Nestled within the peaceful Sherwood Greens community in Becket, this home offers easy access to some of the Berkshires' most beloved outdoor recreation, arts, and dining destinations. Nearby highlights include: - Direct access to Long Bow Lake - 15 minutes to Lee's restaurants, cafés, and shops - 25 minutes to Tanglewood - 30 minutes to Great Barrington - 30 minutes to Ski Butternut - Scenic hiking trails, lakes, and cultural attractions throughout the Berkshires Whether you're planning a summer escape on the water, a colorful fall getaway, or a cozy winter retreat, this location offers the perfect balance of nature and convenience. Wildlife: This is a home in a rural part of the country. You may see wildlife including deer, coyotes, foxes, and bears. Please be mindful of your surroundings and leaving out food and trash. Weather: In the winter, there will be snow, ice, and occasional snowstorms. We recommend driving a vehicle with AWD or 4WD. Please drive with caution and be prepared with regards to the ability of your vehicle to drive in the snow. Power & Internet: This is a rural part of the country. You may lose power or internet during inclement weather. We do not issue refunds for loss of power or internet out of our control. Air conditioning: There is one unit in each of the four bedrooms and one in the living-room that would also heat/cool the loft area. AC availability is seasonal and depending on weather (late spring and summer). Heating is also seasonal, and depending on weather, available during the cold seasons (autumn-winter). Pets: We're happy to welcome your pup to the home. There’s a $150 fee + tax for the first dog and $50 + tax for each additional one. If you’re planning to bring more than one, please reach out to us before completing your booking so we can get everything set up for you. For everyone's comfort, we kindly ask that dogs stay leashed outdoors and that you clean up after them. Please note that cats aren't permitted due to allergy concerns. Any pet-related damages may result in additional charges. Long Bow Lake: This property has private access to Long Bow lake. While we openly advertise the lake access feature, please mind that: - There is no life guard on duty at the lake. - We have no control over the quality of the water at any given time, and the Sherwood Green Association may deem it necessary to limit access to the lake if the testing results require so, without prior notice. - While we do not prohibit ice-fishing in the lake during the winter months, we definitely do not encourage it for safety reasons! Please assess any risks and consider your group's safety before ice-fishing at the lake. Maximum occupancy: Please mind that this house can host a maximum of 10 guests per fire code. As per the fire department, infants are included in that number. Therefore, any infants included in the booking above maximum occupancy of 10 would unfortunately result in the reservation being cancelled. Cancellation Policy: We cannot make any exceptions to our cancellation policy. Please consider traveler’s insurance.
