A stay immersed in history, charm, and an authentic Sicilian atmosphere. 7887 DIMORA ORTIGIA is the result of the first restoration project within a 17th-century building in the heart of the island of Ortigia. The project chose to preserve the traces of time and the building's original charm: ancient walls, uncovered arches, stone, natural lime, and Modica stone floors coexist with custom-designed contemporary elements and a selection of 20th-century Italian furnishings, artwork, and objects collected over time. The home features a large master bedroom with an en suite bathroom, a large living room with a second bathroom, and a separate kitchen overlooking the building's characteristic internal courtyard. The brushed steel kitchen, brass fixtures, natural fabrics, and the textured surfaces create a deliberately minimalist dialogue with the 17th-century architecture. Each room was conceived as part of a single story, without transforming the house into a simple reception space: 7887 DIMORA ORTIGIA remains first and foremost a private residence, furnished and designed for those who love thoughtful spaces, details and timeless design. The apartment is located in one of the quietest and most intimate areas of the island, far from the throngs of tourists, yet just a few minutes' walk from the beating heart of Ortigia. This privileged location allows you to experience the island at a more authentic and private pace. Just a two-minute walk takes you to the seaside platforms of the Lungomare di Levante, where you can directly access the water and enjoy a swim in the crystal-clear sea that surrounds the island. From here, Ortigia can be experienced entirely on foot, traversing alleys, squares, markets, and centuries-old architecture. Piazza Duomo, the Temple of Apollo, the Ortigia market, Castello Maniace, restaurants, small shops, and boutiques are all within easy walking distance. The location allows you to be close to everything while also enjoying the quiet and intimacy of a true residence in the historic center. Leaving the house means immediately entering the most authentic Sicily: stone, sea, light, and the particular atmosphere of an island inhabited for over two thousand years. The furnishings, artwork, vintage objects, and many of the features in the house are part of 7887 Gallery Studio's personal collection and contribute to the unique identity of the spaces.
