Bedrooms & bathrooms: 2 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms for 4 guests: Bedroom 1: Queen bed & private balcony access Bedroom 2: Queen bed Pools & beach access: 5 rooftop pools (one per tower) and 4 ground-level pools, including 2 large pools behind your building. Access to Santamar Beach Club with 2 more pools, beach, and bathroom facilities. Akumal is truly a natural wonder. In Mayan, Akumal means The Place of Turtles, and it lives up to its name as it’s one the finest snorkeling spots in the Mexican Caribbean, and it hosts a marine research center dedicated to protecting the turtles. There are also many things to see and do around Akumal, like water activities like snorkeling, scuba, paddle boarding, kite surfing, and boating. Plus, eco-parks with underground rivers, ancient Mayan ruins, cenotes (natural freshwater sinkholes), and more. PLUS you will have/can: - access to amenities like a swimming pool, private beach access, and golf. - nearby vital amenities like convenient stores and beach activities are all within a short 5-7-minute drive north. - swim with turtles at Akumal Bay (3.2 km|2 mi), visit the Wellness Center or lounge, and have a bite to eat at La Buena Vida! - visit many eco-parks nearby w/underground rivers, ancient Mayan ruins & cenotes (natural sinkholes) - play at golf courses nearby like Casa Club at Tulum Country Club - day trip to Playa del Carmen (25 miles) or Tulum (16 miles) and shop & sightsee these fabulous towns also with a large variety of dining options. Please note that access to the apartment is only available via stairs. We recommend considering this for guests with mobility concerns. - Electricity: 20 kWh/day included for 2–27 night stays. Bath essentials (toilet paper, soap) provided to get started. - Cleaning: No daily service, but available for a fee. For stays 21+ nights, mandatory cleaning every 21 nights at $50 USD. - Additional fees: Extra guests may incur charges. Security deposit may apply. Rental Agreement required. - Long-term & remote work: Laptop-friendly space available. - Noise: Santamar is new; occasional construction noise may occur. House Rules - Guests must be 21+. - No smoking or recreational drugs. Violation: $300 fine. - No parties, events, or illegal activity. Keep noise respectful; no loud music after 10 PM. - Only guests listed in reservation. No tents or structures allowed. - Guests responsible for damages or extra cleaning if needed. - Government ID may be requested at check-in or during stay. - Do not move furniture. - No pets.
